19:41 vendethiel Scala terrifies me.
19:41 vendethiel I'm sometimes afraid Perl6 will attain this kind of complexity
19:41 vendethiel bug: https://issues.scala-lang.org/browse/SI-9498 bugfix: https://github.com/scala/scala/pull/4774/files
19:41 * masak looks
19:41 vendethiel not sure which one is the most terrifying one...
19:42 vendethiel it's also a problem because scala mutates some stuff for performance reason... never ends up well
19:42 vendethiel s/scala/scalac/
19:56 FROGGS wow, a lot of caches
19:56 FROGGS probably followed by a lot of headache
20:00 vendethiel yeah...
20:00 vendethiel cache invalidation, yada yada yada...
20:00 vendethiel fun fact: ruby used a global method cache up to... 2.2 I think? maybe 2.1
20:00 vendethiel but that meant, everytime you added a method "somewhere", the GLOBAL cache had to be regenerated
20:01 vendethiel (I'm talking about MRI here, JRuby has had "per-class" caches for a long time)
20:27 masak wow
