10:38 EskilA Hello
10:39 olas joined #bioclipse
10:39 EskilA I'm trying to see if a string contains tabs by using if(line.matches("\t")) even though I know that the string contains tabs the function evaluates to false
10:40 EskilA am I supposed to write the regexp differently?
10:42 EskilA line is a String btw
10:46 EskilA I've also tried \\t, didn't work either
10:49 olas EskilA: how does the StringTokenizer work?
10:50 olas hmm, never mind
10:50 olas "As of version 1.4, the Java API now recommends that StringTokenizer no longer be used to cut a string up, and recommends that the split() method be used instead."
10:52 olas note, to get a literal slash into a regex requires the regex compiler to see \\, which in turn requires you to put \\\\ into your sourcecode. \\\\ -> \\ -> \
10:53 olas EskilA: myString.split(\""+regex+"\");");
10:53 olas try that
10:54 olas or see: http://www.codeguru.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=292394
10:54 lambdabot2 Title: CodeGuru Forums - TIP: A little tutorial about String.split();
10:55 EskilA thank you
10:55 olas just did some googling

12:10 egonw EskilA: you got the problem worked out?
12:11 egonw your code was incorrect...
12:11 egonw I think...
12:11 CIA-34 bioclipse: ospjuth * r3623 /trunk/playground/plugins/net.bioclipse.biomoby/ (3 files in 3 dirs): Updated manifest and added some tests in standalone action
12:11 egonw I think was like matcher.matches(youStringInWhichYouWantToFindTheTabs)

14:31 shk3 hi all
14:31 shk3 how are things going?
14:32 jonalv personally I am hunting strange bugs that appeared out of nowehere in my project... :/
14:37 shk3 is "my project" bioclipse?
14:37 shk3 or a bioclipse plugin?
14:37 shk3 (sorry, forgot that)
14:39 jonalv "my project" in the case is a plugin
14:39 shk3 great
14:39 shk3 so more progress for bioclipse
14:39 shk3 what is the plugin about?
14:39 jonalv I am working on sort of alot of things but in this case it's a closed source Bioclipse- LIS
14:40 shk3 was it you who said you want to do something like the 2dstructure viewer?
14:40 jonalv yep
14:40 shk3 closed source bioclipse?
14:40 shk3 so why not use it?
14:40 jonalv yep you would have to take that up with Olas's professor...
14:40 shk3 (the 2d viewer)
14:41 jonalv I want to show 2d structures in cells in a table
14:41 shk3 is LIS using cdk as well?
14:41 jonalv so I will do something very like the 2d structure viewer and I might redo it somehat when I get there
14:42 jonalv Yes CDK seems to be needed
14:42 shk3 so no big problem
14:43 shk3 use the 2drenderer to create images
14:43 shk3 and arrange then
14:43 shk3 =them
14:43 shk3 as long as no weird swt problems show up...
14:44 jonalv yep I will do that when I get a round tuit
14:44 jonalv As I said I ahve many things going and for the moment it is some strange persisting bugs...
14:45 shk3 is it really a bioclipse clone you are working on?
14:45 jonalv It's a somewhat big project....
14:45 jonalv clone no it's a plugin
14:45 shk3 for bioclipse?
14:45 jonalv yep
14:45 shk3 ah ok, you add specific functions as closed source?
14:46 jonalv yep
14:46 shk3 but then you can use 2dstructure view
14:47 jonalv Yes but as I said for now I don't want an own view but to show structures in my own table toghether with other stuff
14:47 jonalv but it's more or less what strucreview does so I will most definitly look at it
14:47 shk3 we should try to merge it if possible
14:47 jonalv Thinking about truying to refactor it so that we get a modular thing that can work more or less on any  table but I havenät checked the code that much
14:48 shk3 make it configurable to adjust to needs
14:48 jonalv Just glanced over at masaks screan sometimes since he ususally is in the same room as me...
14:48 shk3 whome are you working for (if you are allowed to tell)?
14:49 egonw joined #bioclipse
14:49 jonalv It's a bit complicated but the easy answer I guess is Jarl Wikberg
14:49 shk3 but it's commercial?
14:50 jonalv Well but it like this. They don't want to exclude making it commercial
14:52 shk3 ok
14:54 jonalv But I am also working on Keyring plugin for Bioclipse that would be able to keep track of passwrods and stuff for connecting to different databases
14:54 jonalv So you log in to Bioclipse and then all different usernames and passwords are kept in the keyring and you only need to enter one password...
14:55 jonalv it's under playground/keyring
14:56 shk3 that sounds good
14:56 shk3 the individual plugins would need to write/read their passwords from there?
14:56 shk3 via some api?
14:57 jonalv yes
14:57 shk3 if it is ready i will change the nmrshiftdb plugin to use it
14:57 jonalv And they are stored locally in an encrypted file
14:58 jonalv or rather the encrypted values are stored as serialized objects but that's implementation details
