21:15 Guest84624 hello all, im just looking for some beginner's help with bioperl.
21:15 Guest84624 hope my questions aren't too elementary, but i figured its worth a shot
21:17 mbowen just for experimentation's sake, i want to use the SignalP module to parse a amino acid sequence in a fasta
21:17 mbowen using the code on the API docs, i can't seem to get it to loop over my signalP object i create
21:18 mbowen here is the code i am trying to use: http://pastebin.com/eari3B4x
21:19 mbowen if anyone is interested in helping, just let me know!  Thanks!
21:21 mbowen for clarification's sake, the script does not print anything when executed - including the two "print" statements. so it seems that the loop is not getting a next_result from the object
