13:15 will_f Hi. Trying to install bioperl for the first time and getting test failures and other issues with t/Tools/Alignment/Consed.t and t/Tree/TreeIO/nexml.t.
13:16 will_f Build log here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/v146nune43yrvi2/bioperl_issues.log.bz2?dl=0
13:19 will_f For info, I installed using 'cpanm --with-recommends --with-suggests CJFIELDS/BioPerl-1.6.924.tar.gz' and have Perl 5.24.0, cpan 2.14, Module::Build 0.4220 and App::cpanminus 1.7042
13:19 will_f Wanting to install suggested/recommended packages as installing for a number of users on a cluster.
13:20 will_f NB this is _not_ the 'system' (/usr/bin/) perl
13:20 will_f Any thoughts / suggestions?

16:40 trs will_f: the t/Tools/Alignment/Consed.t failure is weird.
16:40 trs will_f: the t/Tree/TreeIO/nexml.t failure is pretty clearly caused by a missing dep: Message: Can't locate XML/Twig.pm in @INC (you may need to install the XML::Twig module)
16:41 trs I suspect these may not be build/test/code paths as well exercised due to --with-recommends --with-suggests, so you could try without those.

16:41 * trs is not a BioPerl dev, just a Perl dev who's done some poking at BioPerl.
16:43 will_f trs: thanks, I'll give that a go.
16:58 trs Oh, he left.
16:58 trs Well, the Consed.t failure was only weird because the line number reported was outrageously wrong.
16:58 trs The real line number is 1712, and that error is new in 5.24.
16:59 trs perl -c Bio/Tools/Alignment/Consed.pm reproduces it.
