15:49 sk1369 hi, i was wondering, what kind of project is this project and what is it called? a web api that transfers a html page raw code, from domain A to domain B.   domain A got some parts in its html page view, where the domain B injects the html code in those places. and the web api is responsible to transfer the code (<html><body>.........) to that domain A from domain B. thanks

16:07 carandraug pyrimidine: on bio-eutilities, there are tests under t/
16:08 carandraug and they all require connecting to entrez
16:16 pyrimidine carandraug: they shouldn't
16:17 carandraug pyrimidine: you mean they shouldn't require internet connection or they shouldn't be there?

18:15 pyrimidine carandraug: sorry, had a meeting
18:16 pyrimidine carandraug: that test file is checking a locally cached XML file that comes with the distribution.  The various Bio::Tools::EUtilities modules are designed to parse the relevant XML for that tool into useful objects
18:17 pyrimidine carandraug: a separate module (Bio::DB::EUtilities) handles remote submissions to NCBI
18:18 pyrimidine carandraug: Bio::EUtilities then ties the two together
18:19 carandraug pyrimidine: ok. I will have to check that better then. I'm getting involved into debian packaging now and starting by packaging the modules needed by bioperl's distzilla pluginbundle
18:19 carandraug and now I'm starting to understand better debian packaging and have a system where I can replicate what they saw
18:20 pyrimidine carandraug: Ok.  Now, keep in mind all of those XML files have an associated DTD, for example https://github.com/bioperl/Bio-EUtilities/blob/master/t/data/eutils/egquery.xml#L2
18:20 pyrimidine If the XML::SAX backend checks for that to perform validation etc then that may be the problem.
18:20 carandraug also, are the other tests in xt only because of requiring internet connection? WOuldn't it be nice to have them in cpan testers? They're the ones who first reported the issue with medline.
18:21 carandraug yeah, I understand how that works. I will build from debian sources and see where it really is
18:22 carandraug today seems to be the last day to get packages ready so they show up on the next debian release (which means the last day to show up in the next few ubuntu releases)
18:22 pyrimidine I think locally I have either XML::LibXML or XML::SAX::ExpatXS.
