14:03 csw good morning Pjotr
14:04 pjotrp hi
14:04 pjotrp Google wants a bloody plugin update - weird
14:06 csw yikes
14:06 csw Francesco got the hangout started, I just sent you an invite
14:06 csw so whenever the plugin is installed...
14:06 pjotrp ok
14:10 marjan lomereiter, what's your status? :)
14:22 csw Helius: are you still on the hangout?
14:27 fstrozzi guys sent out another invite
14:27 fstrozzi you can join
14:53 Helius csw: do you want to reuse the bin indexing ?
14:54 Helius csw: if i remember correctely that comes from UCSC, so are you evaluating it ? http://genomewiki.ucsc.edu/index.php/Bin_indexing_system
14:54 csw yeah, I'm using that at the moment
14:54 csw although it's not a whole indexing system by itself
14:55 csw UCSC uses it with MySQL indexes, for instance, but the bx-python indexing code also uses UCSC bins in their index format
14:57 Helius csw: so which is the plan ?
14:58 csw I'll email the author of the bio-ucsc-api gem, explain my use case (all I need is https://github.com/misshie/bioruby-ucsc-api/blob/master/lib/bio-ucsc/ucsc_bin.rb)
14:58 csw and ask what he thinks of splitting out that bin code into a standalone gem
14:58 csw so it can be used without pulling in MySQL dependencies etc.
15:01 Helius csw: ok
