14:00 larsks ...so you'll have to debug someone's old Ruby instead :)
14:00 pdurbin heh
14:01 pdurbin larsks: I'm glad you noticed the job posting! for anyone else who missed it...
14:02 pdurbin if you know people in Boston who might be a good fit, please send this around: Manager of IT Operations at IQSS/HMDC - https://sjobs.brassring.com/TGWEbHost/jobdetails.aspx?partnerID=25240&siteID=5341&AReq=38278BR
14:03 pdurbin bene codex ^^
15:12 dotplus pdurbin: if you think that could be classed as a job for a sysadmin (manager of sysadmins?) for even a broad definition of sysadmin, you might want to post it to sajobs@lists.lopsa.org
15:20 pdurbin dotplus: hmm! are you subscribed? want to post it for us? :)
15:20 pdurbin "a little bird told me..."
15:20 dotplus I don't think you need to be subscribed
15:21 pdurbin sounds like an invitation to spammers
15:21 dotplus although I guess it's possible there will be a moderator delay for unsubscribed
15:22 dotplus that list doesn't ever get spammed.
15:23 pdurbin oh, it's moderated. are there online archives?
15:24 dotplus think so. try http://lists.lopsa.org for the mailman info pages/archives
15:25 pdurbin huh. "Your connection is not secure... Advanced info: ssl_error_no_cypher_overlap"
15:25 pdurbin "To protect your information from being stolen, Firefox has not connected to this website."
15:25 pdurbin works fine in Chrome though
15:26 pdurbin yep, archives at https://lists.lopsa.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/sajobs . nice
15:29 dotplus "volunteer run organization" => not enough tuits to ensure good, current ssl cipher/protocol directives on the webserver, I suspect.

18:57 codex pdurbin: i'll check around. Issue is all the people that are "good" are happily employed
18:59 pdurbin codex: thanks
18:59 pdurbin dotplus: "Your message to Sajobs awaits moderator approval"
19:08 pdurbin I used to post job openings at http://people.fas.harvard.edu/~pdurbin/blog/jobs ... I should probably get back into that habit.

20:00 pdurbin woo hoo! approved! https://lists.lopsa.org/pipermail/sajobs/2016-March/000497.html - [Sajobs] Manager of IT Operations at IQSS/HMDC at Harvard
20:00 pdurbin dotplus: thanks!
20:02 dotplus exposure to more (likely) qualified eyeballs is good for you and for them:)
20:02 pdurbin they guy added a note about how firefox 44.0.2 still allowed AES256-SHA which is one of the ciphers indicated as weak toward the BEAST attack ... which is the version I'm running
20:04 * pdurbin upgrades to Firefox 45.0
20:05 pdurbin now I'm getting "The server rejected the handshake because the client downgraded to a lower TLS version than the server supports. Error code: SSL_ERROR_INAPPROPRIATE_FALLBACK_ALERT"
20:05 pdurbin anyway
20:05 pdurbin dotplus: yes, more exposure is good!
