04:16 larsks http://entrproject.org/ is my new best friend (and it's packged in fedora)
14:12 pdurbin larsks: interesting. What sorts of projects are you using it on?
14:12 pdurbin hydrajump: see also https://theonion.github.io/comcastifyjs/ :)
14:13 larsks pdurbin: I write a bunch of documentation, generally in markdown, so I use entr to automatically run make on file changes (+ the firefox auto reload plugin to automatically refresh the html when the files are updated)
14:13 larsks So I get a reasonably live view of the work without having to leave my vim window.
14:14 pdurbin Cool. I use Sphinx a lot so maybe I'll give it a shot.
14:14 larsks It's a lot more graceful than the inotify-in-a-shell-script-loop that I used previously.
14:14 pdurbin I just leave my vim window a lot. :)
14:47 dotplus Vulnerability Scanner: https://github.com/future-architect/vuls. I'm wondering whether it would be worthwhile to include as a gate in CI. Anyone have experiences to share? either of VulS or some analogue?
14:48 dotplus Not that $infosec_dude would bother with it, but if it's easy enough I might be able to get some skunkwin
14:49 pdurbin dotplus: I used to maintain an installation of Nessus if that counts.
14:50 dotplus possibly. depending on how _maintained_ it was.
14:51 pdurbin it found real vulnerabilities
14:51 dotplus Although hm, I vaguely remember discounting Nessus these days because didn't the author nerf it to closed-source.
14:51 pdurbin nerf? :)
14:51 dotplus s/\.$/?/
14:51 pdurbin we used the old open source version
14:51 pdurbin this was maybe 8 years ago
14:52 dotplus nerf: eviscerate, take the utility out of.
14:53 pdurbin heh
14:54 pdurbin it was a nice tool, scriptable etc.
14:56 pdurbin It's interesting that this new one you found is written in Go.
