14:08	kowey	I'll also randomly/uselessly comment that having to to specify --with-include-dir /opt/local/include --with-lib-dir=/opt/local/lib to cabal install darcs on macos x is a bit of a pain (icu)

17:49	Heffalump	only in one place, but ISTR him sending in several patches that did the same elsewhere before
17:49	kowey	this sort of thing has come up before in the past
17:49	kowey	and back then I tried to make noises gently discouraging these kinds of changes, ie. changes which are highly subject to personal preference

17:49	kowey	because they tend to generate a lot of churn and flip-flopping (somebody else comes in later and sticks the do's back)
