13:04 amgarching Hi! Got this: Couldn't fetch `0000000455-670e8bc21b95191b2489d79da55ed7a5e1715172467581556c7371fd35513e6a' But I found it in ~/.darcs/cache on a different machine. How do I recover/sync the caches?
13:04 amgarching 2.7.99.1 (release candidate 1)
13:08 gh_ you can just scp the contents of every subdir of  ~/.darcs/cache
13:09 amgarching did darcs get /nfs/mount/remote/repo ~/tmp-repo
13:09 amgarching the cache got re-populated
13:13 amgarching darcs scared the spit out of me
13:14 amgarching how do I tell if a repository is "lazy" or it physically contains all of the patches?
13:16 owst amgarching: I'm not sure you can tell, but you can force it to be not-lazy, by running something like `darcs changes -a -v > /dev/null` or similar
13:25 amgarching Thanks! While doing this for many repos I got quite a few "The following corrupt files were found: /path/to/repo/_darcs/patches/20110430133105-fc13a-9ed3544b16de85ce36948e02f90f08569967a7da.gz ..."

13:26 amgarching darcs gzcrcs --check "Found 450 corrupt files"
13:27 amgarching darcs gzcrcs --repair --just-this-repo fixes that
13:35 amgarching darcs: /work/matveev/cvs/darcs/cvsync/_darcs/patches/20040623133048-97f81-ec50ef1d35c180ca688f47e1195302033566e8e9.gz: openBinaryFile: does not exist (No such file or directory)
13:37 amgarching ^^ Except of that one, everything passed. Fortunately this is not my code. I cannot say if I didnt hit ^C in 2005. Not bad, though not perfect.

17:27 sm morning all
17:28 sm I believe darcs check is another good way to make a repo non-lazy

19:10 sm nice terminology seen on the debian-haskell list: git is a state tracker, darcs is a change tracker
