11:36 fuzzy_id i just created my first repo on hub.darcs.net
11:36 fuzzy_id the url should be fuzzy-id@hub.darcs.net:hs-cryptsetup
11:37 fuzzy_id if i try to push to that url via `darcs push fuzzy-id@hub.darcs.net:fuzzy-id/hs-cryptsetup`
11:37 fuzzy_id i get
11:37 fuzzy_id darcs failed:  Not a repository: fuzzy-id@hub.darcs.net:hs-cryptsetup ((scp) failed to fetch: fuzzy-id@hub.darcs.net:hs-cryptsetup//_darcs/inventory)
11:38 fuzzy_id darcs is version 2.8.5
11:38 fuzzy_id (debian stable)
11:46 fuzzy_id i just tried to fork another repo and `darcs get` that fork with the same message
12:05 fuzzy_id found it: my .ssh/config was too restrictive
12:12 fuzzy_id anyways, i think "not a repository" is misleading here
12:13 fuzzy_id are error messages at this level fine grained enough to say something like "Connection problems"?

13:24 sm fuzzy_id++
13:24 sm if not they should be
13:30 Heffalump fuzzy_id: I think someone fixed that, can you try 2.10?
13:59 sm darcs hub has more private-only users than users with public repos
14:07 sm oh.. private-only + no-repo users.. I should break that number out
14:14 sm of those "489 users without public repos", 356 have no repos at all
14:15 sm so there are currently 512 users with a repo on darcs hub
14:19 fuzzy_id in 2.10.1 it fails with:
14:20 fuzzy_id darcs failed:  Not a repository: fuzzy-id@hub.darcs.net:fuzzy-id/hs-cryptsetup (The program "scp fuzzy-id@hub.darcs.net:fuzzy-id/hs-cryptsetup//_darcs/inventory ./darcs29400" failed with error: "no matching cipher found: client chacha20-poly1305@openssh.com,aes256-gcm@openssh.com,aes128-gcm@openssh.com,aes256-ctr,aes192-ctr,aes128-ctr server aes256-cbc,aes192-cbc,aes128-cbc
14:21 sm that seems much better, though it shouldn't say "not a repository"
14:22 sm or "darcs failed", even
14:24 sm "darcs could not connect" perhaps
14:25 fuzzy_id or simply stating that there was an error in the ssh stack
14:25 fuzzy_id imho "darcs failed" is allright, but probably redundant :)
14:26 sm it makes us look bad. darcs didn't fail, darnit
14:26 sm "ssh failed, the user failed, why am I surrounded by these idiots..."
14:28 sm "the server is a known flake, this filesystem is iffy, don't even get me started on the os, I CANNOT WORK IN THESE CONDITIONS"
14:29 fuzzy_id well, if you read "failed" synonymous to "is to blame", then you definitely have point there
14:31 maerwald "couldn't resonably process"
14:31 maerwald :P
