01:23 dino- The darcshub front page referred me to here with questions. I've had a pile of repos there for a long time now. I just went to pull one and it seems like maybe my ssh isn't working any longer.
01:24 dino- But I have not changed my keys or touched any of it.
01:24 dolio dino-: What's the error?
01:24 dino- The error is: darcs failed:  Not a repository: dino@hub.darcs.net:dino/epub-tools (The program "scp dino@hub.darcs.net:dino/epub-tools//_darcs/inventory ./darcs1957747793424238335" failed with error: "Unable to negotiate with 173.255.219.222: no matching key exchange method found. Their offer: diffie-hellman-group1-sha1
01:24 dino- ".)
01:25 dolio Yeah. New ssh retired the key exchange algorithm hub has support for.
01:25 dino- aha
01:27 dino- Does that mean this isn't working for anyone?
01:28 dolio No. You can re-enable it. In your ssh config....
01:28 dolio Host hub.darcs.net
01:28 dolio KexAlgorithms diffie-hellman-group1-sha1
01:29 dino- But it's not that my keypair is using the old business? I'm shaky on how this works.
01:29 dino- dolio: Ah, I see what you just pasted in the FAQ info
01:30 dolio No, it's not the keypair. I think it's the protocol for agreeing on the symmetric session key.
01:30 dino- ok, cool. This will workaround it
01:31 dino- Thank you!
01:31 dolio No problem.
01:35 dino- I think there's garbage chars in that line on the web page, this didn't work until I removed the "15:03" from "KexAlgorithms +diffie-hellman-group1-sha115:03"
01:36 dino- The time pasted there from something, looks like
01:36 dino- dolio: Do you maintain that?
01:37 dolio Nope.
01:37 dino- Looks like it's on darcshub, the source for that FRONTPAGE.md, I can submit a patch.

01:49 pointfree So what's the recommended key exchange algorithm for OpenSSH +7.0?
01:49 dolio Probably depends who you ask. I think they just retired some old stuff.
01:51 dolio People like curve25519-sha256@libssh.org, I guess.
01:57 dolio I think diffie-hellman-group-exchange-sha256 is also still acceptable.
01:57 dolio Dunno what else.
01:57 dolio Those are the two I still have enabled after following some paranoid guide to picking your allowed ssh algorithms a bit back.
01:58 dolio Enabled for things other than hub.darcs.net, at least.
01:58 pointfree https://www.libssh.org/2013/11/03/openssh-introduces-curve25519-sha256libssh-org-key-exchange/
02:02 pointfree https://hackage.haskell.org/package/curve25519

02:07 pointfree I think diffie-hellman-group1-sha1 is the only deprecated key exchange algorithm in the OpenSSH 7.0 ChangeLog.
02:08 dolio Did they deprecate cyphers or macs, though?
02:08 dolio Ciphers, even.

18:53 dino- Do people get automatically notified about patches pushed to forked repos?
18:53 dino- I'm going to guess no
18:53 dino- Sorry, on hub.darcs.net
18:57 sm dino-: alas no
18:57 sm I think it's mentioned in the faq
18:58 dino- It is, found it.
18:58 dino- thank you
19:12 dino- I don't mind sending email myself, I like email.
19:13 sm email or irc is fine for me. Thanks for yours just now - ha, I made that same typo
19:14 dino- No, that's not strong enough.. I LOVE EMAIL
19:15 sm here, email has been out of control for a while.. just now getting it in hand again I think
19:15 sm what do you use for reading and filtering ?
20:18 dino- sm: Sorry, was away. I use mutt and just try to aggressively get off as much lists as I can when it gets too stupid.
20:18 dino- ut that's easier when it's junk like retail-oriented emails.
