14:54 pointfree Hey, gal_bolle!

15:14 IcyFoxy Hello world.
15:14 IcyFoxy If patches are reordered, do they maintain the same hash? I.e. Does anything internal to the patch change?
15:15 IcyFoxy I.e. dependencies?
15:16 gh_ IcyFoxy, the hash that you see in "darcs log" stays the same because it's a hash on the metadata of the patch
15:16 gh_ IcyFoxy, but the contents may change according to the context
15:16 IcyFoxy Okay.
15:18 IcyFoxy I'm thinking about implementing a DHT using the same patch theory of darcs. All patches will be crypographically signed (and maybe encrypted, but decrypted for what the patch-wise code will handle). Any thoughts for this?

15:35 gal_bolle bye all
15:40 IcyFoxy gh_: Also what hashes in 'darcs log' I feel like we are missing a --flag however, I don't see any particular flag
15:58 gh_ IcyFoxy, they are in darcs >= 2.10
15:58 gh_ sorry , I have to go
16:00 IcyFoxy Ah
16:01 IcyFoxy Note for others. Gentoo has 2.8.4 (+ 1 patch)
19:03 Heffalump IcyFoxy: what benefit would you get from the patch reordering for your DHT?
