11:05 Heffalump re issue2477 (updating the darcs wiki to newest gitit), any thoughts on using debian packages versus compiling from source?
11:06 Heffalump compiling from source advantages: more up to date version, can track latest easily. Debian package advantages: might be simpler to configure (but might not), security updates.
11:17 Heffalump think I'll start with Debian and see how that goes
12:32 notdan IIRC the configuration procedure is exactly the same: you just have a gitit.conf/wiki.conf file
13:51 Heffalump do you know about making it run at boot and so forth - I can't see any help for that in the Debian package so I guess we'll have to do it ad-hoc like on darcs.net now

17:22 notdan Oh, no idea - I run an instance of gitit myself, but I just "monitor" and start/restart it manually in a screen session
17:22 notdan which is terrible, but OK enough for a small wiki
