20:31 thetallguy I tried to use darcs convert export to create a git copy of my repo.  After running the operation piped to git fast-import, all I see in the git status are a bunch of deleted files.  These seem to  be the files I wanted to add, but they are visible in the file tree.
20:32 thetallguy I don't see any errors in the output of fast-import.  I'm using darcs 2.11.0.  Has anyone seen this?
20:51 sm thetallguy: in my experience, afterward you need to do git reset --hard also
20:51 sm or maybe just reset
20:51 thetallguy after the init but before the import?
20:51 sm here's my script:
20:52 thetallguy or after the import?
20:52 sm alias darcs-to-git='git init && darcs tag to-git && darcs convert export | git fast-import && deunderscore-git-tags && git reset'
20:52 sm alias deunderscore-git-tags='echo renaming git tags...; git tag | grep _ > t; for t in `cat t`; do git tag `echo $t | sed -e s/_/./g` $t; git tag -d $t; done'
20:52 thetallguy thanks
