05:07 Heffalump fr33domlover: https://github.com/droundy/iolaus ?
05:49 fr33domlover Heffalump, pointfree, thanks
05:53 Heffalump fr33domlover, pointfree: btw I've lost track of what happened with ssh again. Is there anything I should be reviewing/applying/releasing?
05:56 fr33domlover Heffalump, no (unless you want to do it instead of me). I need to compare your version and pointfree's version with mine, rebase if needed, and tell you which patches are missing (specifically the MonadBaseControl instances)
05:56 fr33domlover I'm busy with other things but I'll get there,it's in my todo list
06:00 Heffalump ok, no problem

08:47 zacts hi
08:47 zacts do people still use darcs? and why might I want to use it? (is darcs still maintained?)

20:23 fr33domlover sm, I was hoping someone more Darcs-knowledgable would answer (2) :P
20:31 dolio You might want to use it because it's good.
20:32 dolio But apparently that isn't actually a criterion most people use.
20:36 Heffalump zacts: simplicity/ease of use; the killer feature IMO is "first-class" cherry picking - you can cherry pick patches, and later merge them back with the other patches they used to come after, and the repository is the same as if you never cherry-picked
20:36 zacts cool
20:36 zacts I'm interested in this project
20:37 zacts I discovered it via Haskell
20:37 zacts it sounds kind of neat
20:37 zacts is there by chance a git conversion tool for darcs?
20:43 Heffalump yes - see 'darcs help convert'
20:43 Heffalump there are also a bunch of external tools of varying quality/features around
20:43 Heffalump (and to answer your third question - yes, it's still maintained)
20:48 zacts cool thanks
