22:33 zu22 hi, i want to make a copy of a remote darcs repository (http://foo/darcs-project) and save it on my machine (Debian Linux) and make patches and then record these patches. What darcs commands must i do to do this?
22:53 gh_ zu22, hi, first you should run "darcs clone http://foo/darcs-project" to create your local copy
22:54 gh_ then, after editing your working copy, if you have new files and need to track them in darcs you should run "darcs add new-file"
22:54 gh_ and to record these patches run ' darcs record -m "a description of the patch" '
22:55 gh_ record is an interactive command, you are going to have to confirm every change unless you hit "a" for "record all changes"
22:55 gh_ see also http://darcs.net/QuickStart
22:58 zu22 gh_: oh cool. what if i make changes to existing files in the repo? how do i record those changes?
23:11 sm darcs record
23:20 zu22 sm: thanks! darcs seems cool! much easier to use than git! LOL
