09:11 xwizard Hi there!
09:12 tnurlygayanov_ Do we have a plans to run keystone service under the Apache web server? (like described in http://adam.younglogic.com/2012/04/keystone-httpd/)
09:13 tnurlygayanov_ so, we can do this is 5.x release, looks like it is not so hard
09:14 tnurlygayanov_ or we already use it?

12:00 tnurlygayanov_ hm, does anybody know why I can't install paste-deploy on controller node? (CentOS, EPEL is installed) result: http://paste2.org/5ZG1e58C

12:31 mattymo tnurlygayanov, we don't support installing epel packages
12:32 mattymo tnurlygayanov, and the package you want is python-paste-deploy1.5
12:32 mattymo it's included with fuel 5.0
12:35 evg tnurlygayanov_: there is no such package really
12:35 teran__ joined #fuel-dev
12:36 tnurlygayanov_ pip install PasteDeploy help to me... so, what about the first question about keystone+Apache installation?
12:36 evg tnurlygayanov_: try "yum search paste-deploy"
12:37 tnurlygayanov_ evg I tried, but it doesn't help to me :) EPEL + pip install PasteDeploy - this is the right way to solve problem.
12:38 tnurlygayanov_ I tried to run Keystone under the Apache in Havanna, hm... so, here we have several problems :) I hope that in IceHouse it will work without problems
12:39 teran_ joined #fuel-dev
12:39 brain461 tnurlygayanov_: we have python-paste-deploy1.5 package in centos repo, try it
12:41 mattymo brain461, I think there is an echo :)
12:41 brain461 yep </slowpoke>
12:46 evg tnurlygayanov_: it seems as if it works :)
12:47 al_ex Hi all. I have deployed (using Fuel 3.2.1 ) an environment with 1 controller and 2 computes. The deployment was failed (for an network delay) but the installed environment working well. Now I would like to add a new compute node but if i will use the UI, it will overwrite the old configuration on the controller and i don't want that. How can I do? should use I the fuel's CLI?

14:29 al_ex Do someone have any idea in order to resolve my problem?
14:37 anteaya joined #fuel-dev
14:37 anteaya hello
14:37 anteaya currently fuel has two automated gerrit accounts that I am aware of
14:37 anteaya fuel ci and fuel watcher
14:38 anteaya we are in the process of standardizing the format for naming the accounts
14:38 anteaya automated accounts have to have ci in the name if they are voting or ever will vote and bot if they will never vote
14:38 anteaya does fuel watcher vote or will it ever?
14:39 mattymo bookwar, do you know?
14:39 mattymo anteaya, I know fuel ci does for sure
14:40 anteaya mattymo: great
14:40 anteaya so fuel ci can stay named the way it is
14:40 anteaya what to do with fuel watcher?
14:40 mattymo anteaya, trying to throw something at bookwar right now:)
14:40 anteaya mattymo: thanks
14:40 anteaya do ping once you have decided
14:41 bookwar anteaya: it is just a watcher, it shouldn't vote
14:41 bookwar anteaya: we have fuel-ci for voting
14:41 anteaya so fuel watcher can become fuel bot?
14:41 anteaya are we okay with fuel bot?
14:42 bookwar yes, it's ok for me, i just need to be notified to reconfigure the jenkins
14:42 anteaya right
14:42 anteaya right now we are just deciding on what the new names should be
14:42 anteaya we havn't renamed anything yet
14:42 anteaya and thanks
14:43 bookwar anteaya: ok, thanks for keeping us informed
14:43 anteaya I do try

15:15 MiroslavAnashkin al_ex: Have you done any manual changes to the controller configuration?
15:16 al_ex MiroslavAnashkin>: Yes, I have done several customization on the controller
15:18 al_ex I'm thinking to use the fuel CLI
15:19 al_ex but I am not sure to do this procedure
15:20 MiroslavAnashkin Then, bad luck. Node provisioning and OpenStack deployment were really separated in 4.1. So, even with CLI you have no ability to deploy single node OS without the whole cluster redeployment. All this logic is built-in to Astute and both UI and CLI use the same astute version.
15:22 al_ex Do you use the same strategy, in the 5.0 version?
15:24 MiroslavAnashkin But you may use the following sequence with CLI in 3.2.1:
15:25 MiroslavAnashkin 0. (Optional) - Clean the error state from already deployed environment
15:26 MiroslavAnashkin 1. Add new node and upload the environment config as described in http://docs.mirantis.com/fuel/fuel-3.2.1/user-guide.html#cli-commands-reference
15:27 MiroslavAnashkin 2. Remove all unnecessary nodes from configuration files, upload the changed config back to Fuel and re-deploy the environment
15:28 MiroslavAnashkin In 4.1 and 5.0 you may not only deploy the single node but deploy only the operating system without OpenStack to the target node
15:30 MiroslavAnashkin And it works even in case environment require at least 3 controllers but you want to deploy only one of them
15:32 MiroslavAnashkin 3.2.1 has solid per-environment based deployment, so it always redeploy the whole environment - or more technically correct - all nodes, mentioned in astute.yaml.
15:33 al_ex @MiroslavAnashkin:I will update to 5.0 as soon as possible...just the last question...in order to clean the error state...should I modify the db or can I do it via CLI?
15:33 MiroslavAnashkin ViA DB only.
15:33 MiroslavAnashkin You have ti set Ready state for target environment.
15:34 al_ex ok...thanks a lot Miroslav!!!
