08:29 loic__ hello, I'm trying to generate a fuel 5.0 iso from source and I'm stuck during the make iso to cp /root/iso5/fuel-main/docker/docker-astute.yaml /root/iso5/fuel-main/build/docker/astute/etc/fuel/astute.yaml rsync -a /root/iso5/fuel-main/build/repos/fuellib/deployment/puppet/* /root/iso5/fuel-main/build/docker/astute/etc/puppet/modules/ sudo docker build -t fuel/astute_5.1 /root/iso5/fuel-main/build/docker/astute
08:30 loic__ did you know if there is a bug on this ?
08:31 mattymo what's the error?
08:31 mattymo do you have docker installed and running?
08:32 mattymo loic__, ^
08:32 loic__ i don't have a real error it's just get stuck on this : sudo docker build -t fuel/astute_5.1 /root/iso5/fuel-main/build/docker/astute
08:33 loic__ I have docker installed
08:38 e0ne_ joined #fuel-dev
08:43 mattymo try it manually
08:43 mattymo oh
08:43 mattymo ok so maybe your docker is frozen
08:44 mattymo tell me if `docker images` works and outputs something. if it hangs, your docker is crashed and you should reboot your host
08:45 loic__ docker images seem hangs (no output) I'll try to reboot my host and make the iso again :)
08:45 mattymo loic__, there's no real way to prevent this. updating to a newer version of docker and running 3.8 kernel or newer reduces the chances of this happening
08:46 loic__ ok thx
08:46 mattymo I can reproduce this very often if I try to build a docker container with over 3gb of data
08:46 mattymo (that's why the repo is on the host and not in a container)

09:54 sbartel Hello
09:55 sbartel got this error when trying to generate iso fuel 5.0
09:55 sbartel request to https://bower.herokuapp.com.packages/less failed with ECONNRESET, retrying in 17.4s
09:55 sbartel leading to a Fatal error : request to xxx failed: tunneling socket couild not be established
09:55 sbartel is it familliar to some one?
09:56 mattymo sbartel, yes this is a pitfall of our ISO process. we can't rely on nodejs packages from unstable mirrors
09:56 sbartel sorry typo it is  https://bower.herokuapp.com/packages/less and not  https://bower.herokuapp.com.packages/less
09:57 sbartel is there any workaround? :(
09:57 mattymo sbartel, give me a second
09:57 sbartel ok
09:58 mattymo sbartel, I'm not sure where that info comes from. it's not in fuel-main or in Fuel Dev documentation
09:58 mattymo sbartel, can you pastebin your make iso log?
09:59 sbartel the fatal error?
09:59 mattymo not just the error, but context before really will help

11:36 mattymo tnurlygayanov, wait 3 1/2 more hours for him to arrive
11:51 sbartel mattymo : ok I am going to retry
11:51 sbartel what is strange is that the page was ok for me too in my web browser
11:53 sbartel still on error
11:53 mattymo it's something wrong local on your host
11:54 mattymo is it a dns resolution or do you get a 404 error?
11:54 sbartel a wget on  https://bower.herokuapp.com/packages/less is ok
11:54 sbartel so dns seems to be good
11:54 sbartel either the proxy
11:55 sbartel or is there a specific bower conf to set http proxy?
11:55 tnurlygayanov mattymo, thank you.

11:56 mattymo sbartel, do you have one configured on your host?
11:56 dshulyak_ mattymo: hi, can we use openrc for relevant auth info? xarses says that it is needed for some ha stuff
11:57 mattymo dshulyak_, yes. we already use it for neutron
11:57 mattymo I patched the script to handle any strange characters
11:57 mattymo let me link you
11:58 mattymo dshulyak, https://github.com/stackforge/fuel-library/blob/master/deployment/puppet/neutron/files/q-agent-cleanup.py#L22
11:58 dshulyak_ mattymo: so if operator wil change admin pass, but wont update it in openrc - neutron ha wont work?
12:01 mattymo dshulyak, absolutely
12:02 sbartel mattymo : Yes I have a DNS resolution setup. It seems to be ok as I can wget the url

20:48 xarses aleksandr_null: inside the container? We already do with the way the fuel master is setup
20:49 xarses I'm not sure how it's done, but you should be able to crawl through bootstrap_admin_node.sh to find out what it does
20:53 aleksandr_null oh, ok

21:53 bookwar angdraug: mirrors are fixed now, but smoke test fails on provisioning. We'll continue tomorrow.
21:54 angdraug regarding puppet manifests, I think we need to update this page: http://docs.mirantis.com/fuel-dev/develop/module_structure.html
21:54 angdraug it needs to include instructions on how to tweak manifests on a deployed master node
21:54 angdraug bookwar: thanks! it fails on provisioning, not deployment?
21:55 bookwar angdraug: yes, hangs on centos installation

22:27 aleksandr_null Guys, another question: is it fine that I'm having a lot of messages during fuel node installation:
22:27 aleksandr_null EXT4-fs (dm-5): mounted filesystem with ordered data mode. Opts:
22:27 aleksandr_null EXT4-fs (dm-6): mounted filesystem with ordered data mode. Opts:
22:27 aleksandr_null EXT4-fs (dm-5): mounted filesystem with ordered data mode. Opts:
22:27 aleksandr_null EXT4-fs (dm-6): mounted filesystem with ordered data mode. Opts:
22:27 aleksandr_null tons of them
22:29 aleksandr_null all of them during docker containers preparation/setup
22:30 aleksandr_null after node is installed everything is ok
22:42 angdraug aleksandr_null: I think we have a bug about that
22:42 angdraug it's not causing breakage but it does slow things down
22:42 aleksandr_null oh yes
22:42 aleksandr_null it slow as hell
22:42 aleksandr_null =(
22:42 aleksandr_null trying to find root cause of that
22:43 aleksandr_null of you have found it already ?
22:43 aleksandr_null and also it look like the ntpdate also broken because it waiting about 3-5 minutes before actually continue
22:44 aleksandr_null Maybe better to do things like that in foreground and/or after server was configured to be able at least go and synchronize with network set up ?
22:45 e0ne joined #fuel-dev
22:45 aleksandr_null because trying to synchronize time before have networking configured is kinda ridiculous.
22:46 e0ne_ joined #fuel-dev
22:47 xarses aleksandr_null: ntp is frequently messed up
22:48 aleksandr_null so why we're trying to sync time before we actually having networking configured ?
22:49 aleksandr_null So because of that ntpd server basically trying to sustain good clock source (local one) and you have to wait for that. But as you could understand it useless because local time is still local time.
22:52 aleksandr_null and about docker and images. I'm not a docker guru but it looks like it trying to utilize growing containers and have to resize them. Better to use AUFS and it will work a LOT faster
22:52 aleksandr_null to use with docker it's only required to install additional linux models
22:52 aleksandr_null *modules
22:53 aleksandr_null kernel-ml-aufs if I remember correct
23:00 aleksandr_null If we didn't had a bug around that I've created it and provided short description and suggested solution
23:00 aleksandr_null https://bugs.launchpad.net/fuel/+bug/1333458
23:01 aleksandr_null So feel free to remove it as duplicate or confirm this behavior :)
23:46 e0ne joined #fuel-dev
23:54 aleksandr_null Also didn't found a bug related to ntpd so I also created it
