08:53 dancn hello, is the doc in architecture.rst in fuel-web outdated? At https://github.com/stackforge/fuel-web/blame/master/docs/develop/architecture.rst#L166 I see puppet-runbut on a fuel master node it  returns 'command not found'.  Is there a suitable replacement?
08:53 Longgeek joined #fuel-dev
08:53 dancn sorry s/puppet-runbut/puppet-run but/
09:27 Longgeek joined #fuel-dev
09:34 evg dancn: You seem right, there is not such a script now. But it was installed on nodes, not on the master.
09:39 dancn evg: yes in fact I tried both on nodes and master... guessing that maybe on the master it can have a switch to select a node
09:39 dancn evg: but that's not the case.
09:41 e0ne joined #fuel-dev
09:41 evg dancn: please see /usr/local/bin/puppet-pull script on nodes
09:42 dancn evg: tnx, will look
09:47 dancn evg: tnx, it works as expected, so we can address the additional question
09:49 dancn I noticed that if you do not add zabbix in at the first deploy, only the new deployed nodes get the zabbix conf
09:49 dancn so I was searching something to 'sync' the old nodes
09:50 dancn the puppet-pull-script does that, but maybe is quite bit heavy!
09:50 dancn the question are:
09:51 dancn 1. should the zabbix be added automatically by fuel on old machines by default?
09:51 dancn 2. could I launch puppet-pull-script only for adding zabbix?
09:53 tzn joined #fuel-dev
10:01 dancn for 2. I guess puppet apply /etc/puppet/modules/zabbix/manifests/agent.pp
10:01 dancn maybe after a manual rsync
10:06 evg dancn: do you try 5.1?
10:07 dancn evg: yes a build of some days ago
10:07 evg dancn: zabbix is just an experimental fiture and i'm afraid you have to redeploy old nodes
10:08 dancn evg: the puppet-pull on old nodes works fine, no need to fully redeploy
10:09 adanin joined #fuel-dev
10:09 evg dancn: it's a nice news
10:11 dancn evg: maybe I was not clear in stating this before the two questions

10:27 dancn for the original question (puppet-run) I will open a bug and post a patch for a review

10:36 evg dancn: actually, the was "puppet-pull" script from the beginning (i couln't remember the right name). I don't have a glue where this puppet-run is from. I'll try to clear it.
10:38 evg dancn: s/the was/it was/

10:41 dancn evg: I found the original reference to puppet-pull and added it to the commit message
10:41 dancn evg: https://review.openstack.org/#/c/118596/1//COMMIT_MSG
10:42 dancn evg: and I added the wrong repo..., by the way I am wandering if there is a canonical way to reference other repos/commits
10:44 teran joined #fuel-dev
10:47 dancn the most common reference for dependencies seems a link to https://review.openstack.org/ and will stick to that
10:52 teran joined #fuel-dev
10:52 evg dancn: review.openstack is ok. thank you for the patch.
10:57 evg dancn: i've added reviewvers
10:59 dancn evg: tnx, just seen your comment about the mistype, will update the commit message again to match it

14:11 Samos123 if a customer would want to be notified to certain events, such as instance creation. What kind of solution do you guys suggest? I was looking at Yagi and directly subscribing to amqp notification queues. Does Mirantis Openstack(Fuel) have support for custom notification handling?

20:38 clauded Hi, I'm testing fuel 5.1 with Zabbix. I have errors after new deployment : Memcache service is down and Nova network process is not running. Also have Too many process warnings. As far as I can see, everything is fine on the servers. Any clues for this?
20:45 clauded Zabbix is checking for nova-network on controler nodes but it's running on compute nodes...
20:52 clauded For nova-network I can manually reattach templates to compute nodes
20:53 clauded For memcache I dont get it : memcache is running
