07:03 leveldoc hello
07:04 leveldoc question: I'm using the vbox scripts to run a 3node cluster
07:04 leveldoc I cannot connect from any of the fuel-slaves themselves to the internet
07:04 leveldoc I need to be able to do this for a customer training
07:05 leveldoc there are instructions about masquerading, but that doesn't help things

08:41 dancn bookwar: regarding the failure of make iso we chatted yesterday: I started from ubuntu mini iso (manually installed) instead of from the vagrant official image and found only a minor issue into building the iso (will open a bug on this: missing of apparmor package that hinders dockerd to start). So there are a couples of questions: What is your starting enviroment (could you add docs)?  Any idea on What is causing the issues?  Are you
08:41 dancn interested into making the build process more reliable?

09:07 leveldoc joined #fuel-dev
09:07 leveldoc yes, Ubuntu 14.04
09:07 bookwar dancn: we definitely are interested. Afaik our starting image is the default ubuntu-server14.04 with openssh installed, then we enable our repo with fixed multistrap package http://mirror.fuel-infra.org/devops/ubuntu/all/ and that's basically it
09:08 bookwar christopheraedo: you might be interested in this build iso process as well ^^
09:09 leveldoc sorry I seem to be loosing connection randomly here
09:09 leveldoc perfect storm
09:10 bookwar leveldoc: this channel is logged, see the link in topic, so it is easy ti check if you missed something
09:10 christopheraedo bookwar: thanks, I have been following the conversation regarding make iso. I haven't tested against 6.0TP, but last time I tested on a clean VM 3 weeks back it worked flawlessly
09:12 leveldoc` joined #fuel-dev
09:13 dancn bookwar: thanks, to investigate a bit I made a diff between the packages installed.  The vagrant image has a lot more packages.  Maybe some package in later stage causes a conflict
09:19 bookwar dancn: the most important packages are probably: yum, multistrap and docker
09:20 bookwar dancn: http://paste.openstack.org/show/127492/ here is the list from our build server which does nightly builds

09:25 dancn bookwar: thanks, to try to debug the issue without doing a binary search on all different packages I think I will start from a vagrant image, use your pastebin list to force the install of packages/version and then retry the build process to exclude/confirm that the error come from some vagrant image settings.  Any other suggestion?
09:29 bookwar dancn: not really, post the full logs somewhere into that bug maybe. Let try to understand what's happening in there
09:33 bookwar SergK: btw, have you tried ubuntu from vagrant image?
09:33 dancn bookwar: ok, will check a bit if make sense to continue on the same bug or open/ a new bug 'make iso fails on vagrant image', probably next monday, thanks again for your support
09:33 bookwar dancn: thanks for participating :)

10:10 SergK dancn: Could you please also provide me error message you have, I think I have one idea, but it depends on error
10:11 dancn SergK: I encountered lot of errors at various stages, and reported the following bugs: https://bugs.launchpad.net/fuel/+bug/1381535 1383216 1383204 1383314
10:12 dancn SergK: for sure not every one is related to vagrant
10:16 SergK dancn: One main test i can propose you: could you please try to build iso not in /vagrant directory, but in some other one, which is not shared over virtualbox (for example in vagrant home by default ->> just remove cd /vagrant before cloning). I had some issue in the past with incorrect permissions in virtualbox shared folders. But of course we need to check in your case
10:16 e0ne joined #fuel-dev
10:17 dancn SergK: ok, will do
10:18 dancn bookwar: maybe your build server is 12.04, or it is not updated? Starting from 14.04 and issuing a command for installing the very same versions I get 44 E: Version 'XXX' for 'YYY' was not found
10:18 dancn
10:20 bookwar It is definitely 14.04, but might be it is not fully updated
10:22 dancn bookwar: maybe do you have a suggestion in order to add the 'older sources'?  I used http://snapshot.debian.org/ but I do not know if a similar service exists for ubuntu
10:27 dancn bookwar: also some packages names are cut by dpkl -l in your pastebin, could you run it with COLUMNS=200 or better paste the output of  dpkg-query --showformat='${Package} ${Version} ${Status}\n' -W
10:29 bookwar SergK can you do this^^ on build1? I am a bit  far from the keyboard at the moment
10:33 SergK dancn: bookwar:  ^^^ Done: http://paste.openstack.org/show/dIRduFad1sn47wtwaP1m/
10:34 dancn SergK: thanks
10:39 dancn bookwar: SergK: the list of the packages comes from a bare server (or most likely) from a server where prepare-build-env.sh and make iso where already issued?

13:25 christopheraedo Regarding problems building the ISO - trying to build on a shared folder in virtualbox has been an issue that has caused problems for others in the past.
13:27 christopheraedo @SergK or @dacn - if either of you can document the configuration and create a bug, that would lead us to either fix it (if possible) or at least add a warning to the docs.
13:29 mattymo trying to build on a non-linux FS with a chroot is asking for trouble

22:29 teran_ vtzan: hello
22:30 vtzan hi teran_
22:30 teran_ vtzan: could you please get more info, what torrent client are you using, what do you see in peer list?
22:30 vtzan tried to download http://seed.fuel-infra.org/fuelweb-iso/fuel-community-5.1.1-79-2014-10-28_05-20-01.iso.torrent
22:30 vtzan the file file itself

22:31 vtzan can you download it correctly?

22:31 vtzan no
22:32 vtzan yes only the file
22:32 vtzan timed out at 50% and download speed was 2-3kb/s
