00:29 xarses RageLtMan: correct, you can get this data from fuel-master
00:51 dims__ joined #fuel-dev
00:54 RageLtMan xarses: just looked and there is no /etc/astute.yaml, but there is an /etc/fuel/astute.yaml and it has nothing about networks aside from the admin PXE net
00:59 RageLtMan when the master lands on .3, something else seems to appear in .1 and .2 which wasnt there before. Virtual router maybe? strange

09:15 curioswati hello, I was able to set up the dev env. After running the local server. It asks me to log in. What credentials should I use here, as in the process, there was no specification for authentication.

09:28 amaksimov guys, we are still working on https://bugs.launchpad.net/fuel/+bug/1480930 ? this is feature request and it should be merged to 7.0
09:31 maximov sorry I meant that https://bugs.launchpad.net/fuel/+bug/1480930 should NOT be merged to 7.0 because this is feature not a bug

12:32 curioswati dancn, can you please tell where should i add the contents mentioned in this doc https://github.com/stackforge/fuel-web/blob/master/docs/develop/nailgun/development/env.rst, for 'host' settings.
12:35 dancn curioswati: do not know, I always skipped this section, by the way is also obscure to me
12:36 curioswati can you tell whom should i ask about this?
12:36 amnk joined #fuel-dev
12:37 dancn curioswati: by looking at the changes this section was added by irinapovolotskaya
12:38 curioswati dancn: okay
12:38 curioswati dancn: is devstack also required, to work for fuel/
12:39 dancn curioswati: for sure not for fuel-web
12:40 curioswati dancn: okay. But when I go to localhost for fuel dashboard, it ask me to login, and I was not asked for any credentials in the setup process. so what credentials should i use there?
12:42 dancn curioswati: admin/admin, I guess, I do not have an environment right now, the default data should come from ./manage.py loaddata nailgun/fixtures/sample_environment.json

12:56 dancn curioswati: rgrep admin fuel-web-dir should help you, there should be a settings file
13:05 curioswati dancn: yes, there is a file settings.yaml in fuel-web/fuelmenu/fuelmenu/. It says, the default_user and default password is "admin". But it didn't work earlier. I will try it again as my manage.py is giving error so I can't run localhost again.
13:06 curioswati dancn: thanks for help :).
13:08 dancn curioswati: ok, please ping if something is not clear in the doc

16:41 kaliya joined #fuel-dev
16:41 mihgen amnk> there was a mail thread about rabbitmq update. Oslo team stated that they need 3.5.4 for Ubuntu only.
16:41 mihgen amnk: yes, it's about issue on Fuel master node..
16:41 ikalnitsky mihgen: yeah, mira version is different, but i thought it's just about package rebuilding and that's it. i mean, code base should be the same.. isn't it?
16:42 mihgen ikalnitsky: that's what I'm trying to confirm
16:42 mihgen amnk: do you know how we can see whether content of package is the same?
16:42 mihgen as it was in 6.1 ?
16:43 mihgen amnk: the problem is that we see more of like a regression, and we can't really figure out yet where it comes from
16:44 ikalnitsky the strange thing is why we didn't loose connection on nailgun side? it's always astute.
16:44 angdraug joined #fuel-dev
16:44 mihgen may be something in the amqp ruby lib? what lib do we use?
16:44 mihgen may be we updated it
16:45 ikalnitsky it's the same.. except mira part, if i recall it correctly
16:45 amnk mihgen: as I see package content was not changed
16:45 amnk mihgen: https://review.fuel-infra.org/gitweb?p=packages/centos6/rabbitmq-server.git;a=commitdiff;h=ea98f7d436cc24843e71679c0257f3cfa04c1fe0

16:45 mihgen amnk: ok... thanks
16:46 mihgen I see that ruby21-rubygem-amqp-1.4.1-1.el6.mira1.noarch.rpm   is also same version to ruby21-rubygem-amqp-1.4.1-1.el6.mira3.noarch.rpm
16:47 ikalnitsky yep, mira part has been changed.
16:48 mihgen can't evgenyl's commits affect a behavior actually.. ? to fuel-astute
16:49 amnk mihgen: yes, ruby gem was updated to change requirements: https://review.fuel-infra.org/gitweb?p=packages/centos6/ruby21-rubygem-amqp.git;a=commitdiff;h=267a140952746531e8cc36e95cca52cc31d96c9e
16:49 amnk mihgen: and rebuilt as well
16:50 mihgen ikalnitsky: https://review.openstack.org/#/c/215064/
16:54 ikalnitsky mihgen: this patch by evgenyl is about another problem
16:56 mihgen ikalnitsky: I remember that we had some puppet code which was trying to create queues and exchanges
16:56 mihgen we had really weird related bug like a year or two ago
16:57 mihgen and we kinda work arounded it
16:58 ikalnitsky yes, i remember. it's not a case, since we're listening the same queue..
16:58 ikalnitsky moreover, we have connectivity problems when we're trying to submit message to nailgun exchange
16:59 romcheg joined #fuel-dev
17:00 ikalnitsky anyway, let's stop guessing the issue. i'm going to extend error-handling in astute, add more logs (i saw plenty additional error callbacks in ruby-amqp) and then try to figure out what's wrong
17:14 mihgen ikalnitsky: thank you. really weird thing. It would be great to double check all the places around which we changed recently, including docker / etc.
17:14 mihgen may be kernel?)
17:15 ikalnitsky honestly I thought about that.. ) techincally, slightly changes in kernel's network stack may break connection) but i thought we have reverted kernel to 6.5
17:16 imarnat To 6.6 on Aug, 27
17:16 mihgen first of all it would be great if we find a way to consistently reproduce it first. Then, we can try older ISO and see if it's reproduced there
17:16 imarnat Issue was reproduced (based on comments in bugs) in June, July and several hours ago
17:17 amnk joined #fuel-dev
17:18 imarnat It's always possible that there are issues with kernel, but based on dates of reproduction and date when last kernel was merged (Aug, 27) doesn't look like kernel
17:18 mihgen imarnat: yep
17:18 imarnat This is the CR: https://review.fuel-infra.org/#/c/10736/

20:25 ogelbukh guys, can anyone explain, why 'configure_default_route' task was created?
20:29 ashtokolov joined #fuel-dev
20:29 xarses ogelbukh: to be annoying?
20:30 xarses it is used to update the nodes with out br-ex to use the vrouter_vip address as the default gateway instead of the admin network
20:35 e0ne joined #fuel-dev
20:37 ogelbukh yup, and it totally breaks things if I explicitly want my master to be default gw for some reason (e.g. fuel-createmirror) :)
20:46 amnk joined #fuel-dev
21:10 xarses ogelbukh: it shouldn't bother the create mirror unless the mirror is no longer accessible because it's not in the admin subnet and not handled in the default-route/br-ex
