06:19 ArminderSingh Is there an upgrade/update option from Fuel 6 to 8? I can see in docs upgrade from 6 to 7, but no upgrade to 8.
06:19 ArminderSingh also can't find update package for 8.0 in downloads
06:19 ArminderSingh so if I had to setup a Liberty cloud, I do need to have fuel node from scratch using 8.0 ISO?
06:19 ArminderSingh or is the update in plans or from scratch is the only option?
06:21 ArminderSingh https://docs.mirantis.com/openstack/fuel/fuel-8.0/user-guide.html#upgrading-and-updating-from-earlier-releases
06:22 ArminderSingh Someone need to update this page too as it seems to be for 7.0
06:22 ArminderSingh but should contain info for 8.0
06:27 ArminderSingh release notes for 8.0 with GA 29/feb says its (upgrade) being finalized, so any headsup yet

07:10 devvesa Hello! I am testing Fuel 8 and I see that the Ubuntu provisioning image takes so long
07:10 devvesa Is there a way to skip the "fa_build_image" process by, for instance, copy the image from the previous environment?

15:33 karthikeayan_ hi all
15:33 karthikeayan_ Verification failed. These nodes: "2", "1" failed to connect to some of these repositories: "http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/", "http://mirror.fuel-infra.org/mos-repos/ubuntu/8.0/" Repo availability verification using public network failed on following nodes Untitled (e1:03). Following repos are not available - http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/, http://mirror.fuel-infra.org/mos-repo... . Check your public network settings
15:33 karthikeayan_ am getting this error, in my laptop with virtualbox
15:34 karthikeayan_ using all default settings
15:38 ikalnitsky karthikeayan_: you have no internet connection
15:38 karthikeayan_ i am able to ping google from master node
15:38 ikalnitsky i think you need to enable ip forwarding on your laptop, and add masqarad rule
15:38 ikalnitsky well
15:38 ikalnitsky then got it
15:38 ikalnitsky check out default gateway on master node
15:38 karthikeayan_ slave nodes does not have internet connectivity
15:38 ikalnitsky there's probably no gateway
15:39 karthikeayan_ but able to ping master node
15:39 ikalnitsky show me "ip a" output from master node
15:39 karthikeayan_ [root@fuel mnt]# ip a 1: lo: <LOOPBACK,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 65536 qdisc noqueue state UNKNOWN     link/loopback 00:00:00:00:00:00 brd 00:00:00:00:00:00     inet 127.0.0.1/8 scope host lo        valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever     inet6 ::1/128 scope host        valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever 2: eth0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc pfifo_fast state UP qlen 1000     link/ether 08:00:27:10:c2:1a

15:40 ikalnitsky "ip ro"
15:40 ikalnitsky typo :(

15:40 karthikeayan_ no issues
15:41 ikalnitsky 10.0.4.2 is your laptop's ip?
15:41 karthikeayan_ no that is the virtualbox's default gateway
15:43 ikalnitsky hm.. than i have no idea.. did you tried to use ping "8.8.8.8" from slaves?
15:43 karthikeayan_ do u mean bootstrapped nodes
15:43 karthikeayan_ ?
15:43 ikalnitsky yep
15:44 karthikeayan_ i couldn't ping google, let me try pining ip
15:44 karthikeayan_ wat abt the ip ro output? all fine?
15:48 karthikeayan_ am not able to ping 8.8.8.8
15:48 karthikeayan_ from slave nodes
16:01 bookwar ikalnitsky: let's merge https://review.openstack.org/#/c/292446/ and move to fuel-docs
16:02 ikalnitsky karthikeayan_: at seems ok. what about "ip ro" on bootstrap nodes?

16:12 ikalnitsky well, that's a reason
16:13 ikalnitsky karthikeayan_: that's how it should look like http://paste.openstack.org/show/490938/
16:13 ikalnitsky it's really strange it's not configured, since it must be done by puppet that setup master node
16:13 karthikeayan_ sorry, am new to MASQUERADE
16:14 ikalnitsky are you sure you have no errors in /var/log/puppet/bootstrap_admin_node.log ?
16:14 karthikeayan_ can you give the commands to create these rules/
16:14 karthikeayan_ ?
16:14 ikalnitsky karthikeayan_: sure
16:16 ikalnitsky iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -s 10.20.0.0/24 -j MASQUERADE

16:16 ikalnitsky what the ip address of you master node?
16:17 karthikeayan_ 10.0.4.15
16:17 ikalnitsky than you need to use another mask
16:17 karthikeayan_ ok
16:17 ikalnitsky just replace it with your own
16:18 karthikeayan_ how to create the second rule? 172.16.0.0/24
16:19 karthikeayan_ time to leave home, let me go home and try

17:27 askb agordeev I am trying my hands on setting up fuel dev setup on my laptop with some VM's(limited h/w), would you recommend any areas for a starter ... like adding more integration tests etc ?
17:35 agordeev askb, there're more than a dozen of low-hanging-fruit tagged non-fixed bugs in fuel right now. https://goo.gl/5mwjfv
17:37 agordeev askb: i could recommend to take this one https://bugs.launchpad.net/fuel/+bug/1552349 and then that one https://bugs.launchpad.net/fuel/+bug/1553236 (which is depending on another bug fix, but we're going to fix it within few days or so)
