21:15 slo_ one question, is there any known companies that offer support for pure "vanilla" Fuel Openstack? So not a support for some version/distribution of openstack with it's hardened packages?
21:21 mwhahaha slo_: not sure what you are referring to because there's no "vanilla" fuel openstack
21:24 slo_ i'm talking about the support for this packaging : https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/Fuel
21:26 slo_ So pure open source without additional packages or proprietary packages or addons
21:31 slo_ Doing kdiff3 over extracted iso images of MOS 8 and Fuel 8 there are 74 files/rpms/cfgs/ in difference so one would rather probably want to use pure open source than MOS distribution (which has now have also some legal restrictions in some countries) ?
21:33 angdraug slo_: what kind of restrictions are you referring to?
21:34 angdraug also, mwhahaha is right, there's no "vanilla" openstack packages, there's MOS from Mirantis, there's RDO from RedHat, and UCA from Canonical
21:35 angdraug there are efforts underway to produce community RPM and DEB packages of vanilla OpenStack (packaging-rpm & packaging-deb), but those didn't produce any results yet
21:36 angdraug AFAIK MOS isn't any more restricted than the other vendors' packages...
21:36 slo_ When clicking download button on MOS 8 ISO on Mirantis page, this notice appears since this new release:
21:36 slo_ "By clicking “Accept” and downloading our software you agree to the terms and conditions of the Mirantis Master Agreement (w/ Exhibit A) and certify that you are not located in a country subject to U.S. sanctions. The current list of sanctioned countries covers: Cuba; Iran; North Korea; Sudan; Syria and the Crimea region of Ukraine."
21:38 angdraug well, that's not a licensing restriction, it's an export regulation that applies just the same to any US-based vendor
21:39 angdraug vanilla openstack packages distributed from openstack.org would fall under that, too
21:39 angdraug Tech Organization: OpenStack Foundation
21:39 angdraug Tech State/Province: Texas
21:39 angdraug Tech Country: US
21:41 slo_ aha ok
