01:49 Topic for #fuel-dev is now npm lint jobs are failing due to a problem with npm registry. The problem is under investigation, and we will update once the issue is solved.

06:03 jianghuaw hi, when update plugin, how can we make the new plugin take effective to the existing env?
06:03 jianghuaw updated the minor plugin via the command "fuel plugins --update *.rpm"

12:51 StanKardach Question on fuel plugin and packages. Let's say that I have a kernel package that I build with "make deb-pkg". The resulting package is not signed with any of Fuel GPG keys so when I try to install it via plugin I get an error that it can't be authenticated (since -y is used but not --force-yes).
12:51 StanKardach Since fuel_apt doesn't support install_options I can't just append the --force-yes, but that might not be the correct way of looking at the problem.
12:51 StanKardach fuel-plugin-opendaylight (which I take from OPNFV iso) is building packages using fpm and I don't think it has this problem of lack of a verified signature as I have installed it and deployed it multiple times so I wonder what am I missing here?
12:52 aglarendil StanKardach: you might want to sign it with your key and add this key public part into apt keyring during the pre-configuration phase prio to package installation from your plugin
12:53 aglarendil StanKardach: I think we control this with allow-unauthenticated
12:53 aglarendil StanKardach: btw, you may want to override this provider within your plugin, e.g. by setting it back to apt, or by overriding fuel_apt code
12:54 StanKardach that was one of my ideas but I wanted to ask for a "proper" solution
12:54 aglarendil I would go with a simple additional task to reconfigure apt keyring

12:55 aglarendil this seems to be the most straightforward and secure solution
12:56 StanKardach seems fair, thanks
12:59 StanKardach I think I've found the reason why I'm getting this (beside the obvious one) - I'm trying to switch the kernel in pre_deployment phase and setup_repositories is running in deploy phase
