00:08 anoopl I am installing Fuel 4 tech preview iso. Is it possible to do a single node installation with this
00:13 rmoe joined #fuel
00:15 xarses dhblaz: it should be all idempotent, so it should be safe
00:17 xarses anoopl: no, single node is not supported, you need a minimum of three nodes (one for fuel, one controller, and one compute) If you only have one node, its relatively easy to set them up as virtual machines
00:18 xarses you can get away with 512 mb, 1G ram, and everything left -10% of the host memory respectivly for fuel, controller and compute
00:18 xarses fuel does prefer around a 1Gb of ram though
00:27 anoopl <@xarses> Thanks, I have servers for multiple noes but I wanted to try the installation on bare metal or KVM than on VBox
00:28 anoopl @xarses: so do you suggest me using some VM for master node then use this server a  node
00:29 anoopl I mean 1VM for Master node + 1 Bare metal server as compute node, will that work
00:30 xarses if the is on the same L2 segmenst as the bare metal node, yes
00:30 xarses the fuel node needs to be able to PXE them
00:30 xarses we use KVM and VBox in house alot for development
00:30 anoopl or should I need 1VM for Master Node + 1 VM for commute node + 1 Server as compute node?
00:31 xarses bbl heading home
00:31 anoopl out network got VLANS for this that can connect to PXE boot as well
00:31 anoopl hope that would be fine
00:31 anoopl ok

06:44 ogzy what is thee minimum disk requirement to deply compute and controller from web interface, it seems 15 GB is not enough, i got not enough space error

07:47 ToTsiroll Hi, is there a way to update my fuel master node to the latest update? I'm currently encountering problems in deploying the 1st controller in HA mode CentOS. At the same time, some css files missing in horizon on 2 controllers
07:48 ToTsiroll I'm wondering if an update will fix future redeployments
07:49 ArminderS have you already deployed though the same fuel master node?
07:49 ToTsiroll yes. HA mode in CentOS. i tried redeploying again and again until it succeeded..about 4 times
07:50 ArminderS so you going to keep that environment or rebuild it?
07:51 ToTsiroll I downloaded 3.2 again. I dont know if its an updated one or the same, but i'll rebuild again the master node to make sure
07:54 ToTsiroll Did some users experienced these problems? (1st controller fail to deploy openstack, and some css files missing in horizon in a finished deployment)
07:57 ArminderS i too had missing css issues, so I ran a find in all the controllers and copied from 1 where it was present to other 2 controllers
07:57 ToTsiroll that's what i did also in my css problems
07:58 Krast joined #fuel
07:58 ArminderS if you want to re-deploy, its better to rebuild fuel master too and start afresh
07:59 ToTsiroll another problem i encountered was public key issue when i do ssh. "Permission denied (publickey,gssapi-with-mic)."
07:59 ToTsiroll security groups are good. i can ping my instance. but cant seem to ssh to it using a correct key
08:00 e0ne joined #fuel
08:01 ToTsiroll i have 2 setup by the way..with different master nodes. both encountered the same problems
08:02 ArminderS that ssh key issue could be because of missing link to qemu-kvm on centos based install
08:03 ArminderS run this on your compute node and it deploy the instance, it would be good to go -> ln -s /usr/bin/qemu-kvm /usr/libexec/qemu-kvm
08:05 ArminderS you must be getting error in nova-all.log on your compute node when it tries to inject the key
08:05 ArminderS about missing qemu-kvm
08:06 ArminderS let me know if it works for you
08:06 ArminderS if not, then the error from log while you try to deploy and its injecting the key
08:11 e0ne joined #fuel
08:11 ToTsiroll ok thanks. I'm testing it right now. It seems my attachment of floating ips is so long to respond now.
08:12 ArminderS sure thing
08:19 ToTsiroll still doenst work. i logs is saying about metadata of the instance

22:20 stackarr_ Hi, I am trying Fuel for the first time, loaded Fuel Master on a host and set up another node for PXE boot. Fuel Master Host and the node are in a separate VLAN and Fuel Master Host is set up to be DHCP server. However the node doesn't PXE boot. How can I troubleshoot why it isn't?
