13:50 Fecn1 hey xarses - I did a deploy using your radosgw fixes today - Thanks for that... It did all the work with the files correctly (right key in the keyring this time etc)... but I did find that it was necessary to manually restart ceph-radosgw on the controller nodes after the deployment had completed.

14:27 SebastianKreutzb Hi! I successfully setup an openstack cluster with fuel on my virtualbox (amazing work guys!!!) - but what is my openstack admin user account now?
14:27 mattymo SebastianKreutzb, the default tenant and user is created in Settings tab
14:27 mattymo it's admin/admin
14:27 SebastianKreutzb thanks :)
14:27 mattymo s/created/defined
14:28 SebastianKreutzb it’s so amazing how easy it was to setup the cluster with fuel. it took me weeks to do that manually. unbelievable!^
14:29 SebastianKreutzb I will evaluate it now and if things continue to be so great then I will recommend you guys as our new openstack vendor. okay, need to head back to the shiny new openstack test cluster :)
14:30 mattymo SebastianKreutzb, good to hear
14:30 mattymo SebastianKreutzb, if (and when) you write to us, be sure to tell us pluses and minuses. We really appreciate feedback
14:34 SebastianKreutzb mattymo: yep, I create a long question list during the evaluation and include feedback.
14:37 SebastianKreutzb oh one more question relating the process: during the first 30 days we have free support, right? can I also directly send a question here in the IRC or do I need to send an email?
14:38 anotchenko joined #fuel
14:38 mihgen Hi Sebastian, you are welcome to post questions here - but we don't guarantee to be here for 24 hours, like our support team :)
14:38 SebastianKreutzb so you guys are the developers of Fuel?
14:39 mihgen yep
14:39 mihgen we have #fuel-dev as development channel though
14:39 SebastianKreutzb ok. Again, great job!

14:54 SebastianKreutzb how can I SSH into compute1? I tried root and password-auth but it did not work. I need to log-in to check why the sanity check for connection to the 8.8.8.8 failed.
15:00 MiroslavAnashkin <SebastianKreutzb>: Direct SSH access to the nodes is possible with key authorization only.
15:00 SebastianKreutzb alright. so I need to somehow get my key into the virtualbox window
15:01 MiroslavAnashkin You may SSH to master node with password authorization and either SSH to any other node from master node or grab the key for SSH access or enable password auth on the nodes.
15:02 SebastianKreutzb ah the key is on the fuel master? cool!
15:02 SebastianKreutzb btw: it would be great to have the standard openstack logs in the UI (like for nova and so).
15:05 MiroslavAnashkin So far it is possible to download diagnostic snapshot in Fuel web UI.
15:06 MiroslavAnashkin It includes logs, settings and some helpful command output

15:40 xarses Fecn1: thanks for the feed back, We'll look into that
15:40 mattymo SebastianKreutzb, OpenStack logs for components like Nova is on our roadmap, but right now, like MiroslavAnashkin said, the only way to get them is with the diagnostic snapshot
15:42 SebastianKreutzb mattymo: great to hear that it's on your roadmap.  I will dive in the diagnostic snapshot for now.
15:45 SebastianKreutzb mattymo: I just saw that the diagn. snapshot does not include openstack logs. so I SSH into the nodes.
15:49 mattymo SebastianKreutzb, look in localhost/var/log/remote/$nodename/
15:52 SebastianKreutzb ah, that's handy. I directly SSH’ed now into compute1 and did `tail -f /var/log/nova-all.log`. But it seems a generally wrong networking that all slave nodes can not access the internet ...
16:04 rongze joined #fuel
16:18 SebastianKreutzb I can not connect to the internet from all slave nodes. I checked eth0 and there is no gateway, is that correct? how do I let the machines connect the internet (testing the 3-nodes setup on virtualbox with vlanmanager) and fuel 3.2
16:31 MiroslavAnashkin Are you trying to connect to internet from slave node operating system or from a running instance inside the slave node?
16:32 rongze_ joined #fuel
16:33 SebastianKreutzb from slave node OS. because that was one of the sanity checks that failed.
16:35 MiroslavAnashkin Fuel does not set the proper gateway for public network, since for bare-metal installation this gateway is set on the router.
16:36 MiroslavAnashkin So, you have the only option to add the necessary route between the gateway and your public network manually.
16:39 SebastianKreutzb MiroslavAnashkin: so I just add a gateway entry at eth0 on each node?
16:44 MiroslavAnashkin What is your network type - Neutron or Nova-Network?
16:51 SebastianKreutzb joined #fuel
16:53 SebastianKreutzb I selected vlanmanager
16:53 SebastianKreutzb I think it is nova-network
16:55 r0mikiam joined #fuel
16:59 MiroslavAnashkin And what type of network you use in VirtualBox to connect Public network to? Is it Host-only or something else?

23:17 TSCHAKMac I had a cluster that I had deployed with Fuel, and I tore it down using the facility to do so
23:17 TSCHAKMac it tore the servers down, and brought them back to bootstrap
23:17 TSCHAKMac but they are not being discovered by Fuel
23:17 TSCHAKMac what can I do to debug?
