09:30 marcinkuzminski is it a known bug that when trying to bot with pxe an ubuntu 12_04 the hostname is invalid (this can be easily fixed by editing the bot option) but then installation fails with "Failed to retrieve preconfiguration files"
09:33 marcinkuzminski hmm it seems that there's internal server error when trying to reach: http://10.20.0.2/cblr/svc/op/ks/profile/ubuntu_1204_x86_64

12:31 MiroslavAnashkin <marcinkuzminski>: Unfortuanely, it is impossible to connect to your local installation through 10.20.0.2.
12:31 marcinkuzminski MiroslavAnashkin: i just realized you should use the bootstrap mode anyway
12:32 marcinkuzminski so i don't really know why there's the options for centos/ubuntu in pxe boot
12:33 MiroslavAnashkin Ahh, understood;) Yes, you should not select any option on PXE boot.
12:34 MiroslavAnashkin It is Cobbler does not hide all available options to allow you to boot every of them manually.
12:35 ruhe joined #fuel
12:35 MiroslavAnashkin But in any case you simply have to wait until Cobbler boot correct one itself.

13:54 marcinkuzminski MiroslavAnashkin:  there a bugfix branch for fuel 3.2 ?
13:55 ArminderS joined #fuel
14:03 MiroslavAnashkin There are several, depending on fuel components.
14:04 MiroslavAnashkin Fuel related: https://github.com/Mirantis/fuel
14:05 marcinkuzminski could that be sued to build an ISO ?
14:06 MiroslavAnashkin No, ISO is compiled via git://github.com/stackforge/fuel-main.git
14:08 marcinkuzminski ahh perfect, so i should fetch this one
14:12 MiroslavAnashkin Helpful link on building ISO http://docs.mirantis.com/fuel-dev/index.html#

16:33 ruhe hi folks! i've just installed openstack using fuel 4.0 preview. is there any way to install swift from cli?
16:35 RyanG_ joined #fuel
16:41 MiroslavAnashkin <ruhe>: I may propose the following way:
16:41 teran joined #fuel
16:42 MiroslavAnashkin 1. Create new HA environment without Ceph.
16:43 MiroslavAnashkin Probably you should do it under Virtualbox, if you do not have non-assigned bare-metal node.
16:44 MiroslavAnashkin 2. Add controllers to this environment, but do not deploy!
16:44 MiroslavAnashkin This is why we need free node.
16:45 MiroslavAnashkin 3. Export node configuration (http://docs.mirantis.com/fuel/fuel-3.2/user-guide.html#cli-commands-reference)
16:47 MiroslavAnashkin Store exported data. After that you may remove test environment.
16:49 MiroslavAnashkin 4. Remove everything not related to Swift from the exported config files (may take a lot of attempts)
16:50 MiroslavAnashkin 5. Export your nodes, intended for Swift, add Swift-related data to appropriate config files and remove any unnecessary data
16:50 MiroslavAnashkin Import these files back and proceed with deployment.
16:52 MiroslavAnashkin Quite painful, I'd say. We still do not have complete CLI programming guide.

16:54 ruhe ok, thank you for detailed response!
16:54 ruhe i'll have to experiment with config to get swift installed and working
16:55 ruhe is it even worth trying to install swift on compute node?
17:01 MiroslavAnashkin joined #fuel
17:04 MiroslavAnashkin joined #fuel
17:06 xarses ruhe: depends on what you are attempting to do. I would consider ceph if you want cinder // glance // nova efficiencies
17:07 MiroslavAnashkin joined #fuel
17:08 ruhe i'm not targeting performance. the main goal is to setup dev lab of several nodes. i just need swift service running for very simple use cases - read and write small files
17:09 xarses ceph can provide a mostly complete api for swift clients
17:10 ruhe xarses, that's a good idea
17:10 ruhe i will try that
17:10 ruhe thank you!

17:51 xdeller xarces: hi, just wondering what is roadmap for remaining rgw<->keystone integration, if there are still issues

18:02 xarses xdeller: we where able to work out all of the rgw <-> keystone issues, works well now with UUID token format
18:02 xarses since 3.2.0
18:02 xdeller our services team asked me today and I was in trouble :)
18:02 xdeller thanks
18:03 xarses radosgw does need some patches from 3.2.1, but not related to keystone integration
18:05 xarses see https://github.com/xarses/fuel/tree/radosgw-fixes for patches from fuel-lib that should be applied to 3.2.0, also https://review.openstack.org/#/c/52850/ is needed for neutron HA
18:06 xarses all are already in 4.0 and 3.2.1
