23:19 e0ne Hi all! We moved our fuel-docs repo to stackforge: https://github.com/stackforge/fuel-docs
23:26 xarses e0ne: thanks!

23:38 jhurlbert we are testing fuel in a lab. we had a node fail while provisioning, and now fuel is stuck at 95% complete in the UI. is there a way to kill the process?
23:43 Vidalinux joined #fuel
23:46 xarses jhurlbert: it should stop when all of the nodes have completed / failed
23:50 jhurlbert all of the nodes have finished, except for the node that failed. the progress bar for the node says it is installing ubuntu, but the node is offline.

05:34 ArminderS- is 3.2.1 havana?
05:35 ArminderS- see page 4 point 2 of release notes for 3.2.1
05:36 ArminderS- but later at the end of same page it says OpenStack Grizzly 2013.1.4 bug fix update
05:37 ArminderS- as for 4.0, are we going to get 2013.2 or 2013.2.1?
05:37 ArminderS- xarses: would you like to answer this?

06:24 Shmeeny Is upgrading the currently installed version of Fuel documented anywhere? I haven't been able to locate that in the documentation.
06:25 Shmeeny left #fuel
06:25 Shmeeny joined #fuel
06:35 xarses ArminderS-: No, fuel 3.2.1 is the latest Grizzly release
06:36 xarses ArminderS-: Not sure about 4.0 other than it is havana
06:37 xarses Shmeeny: there is no current built in method to upgrade between fuel versions, so i doubt there is documentation to find
06:38 Shmeeny So is the only real way to upgrade, completely blowing away your environment? Or is there a way to backup the DB, etc. and then apply the backup after blowing away the Fuel server and reinstalling?
06:38 rongze joined #fuel
06:49 ArminderS- thanks xarses
06:50 xarses Shmeeny: While its possible to back up the db and restore it, we don't make any effort to test or provide any schema migration information if necessary it since we don't support it yet. So you'd be own.
06:53 Shmeeny Okay, thanks.
06:55 xarses g'night

16:11 albionandrew Morning xarses - Not sure if you saw my message las night about not being able to log a diagnostic snapshot to my mirantis account. Should I create a new one? This my amended ks.cfg http://pastebin.com/edBwFSzd
16:11 albionandrew which I think might be why I can't see the disk size in the web gui.
16:12 albionandrew Or should I create a new bug in launchpad?
16:27 Fecn OK - found my first 3.2.1 bug - Seems that ceph-radosgw service is not started after deployment... (starting it manually works just fine though)

19:10 xarses albionandrew: you don't have to create a support case for bugs like this, but the help provided in the channel is as possible, where our support group provides SLA based support
19:11 xarses albionandrew: the ks.config should only impact the fuel node, not the discovery, we reviewed the bundle you posted yesterday and it should be picking up the devices based on what we saw
19:12 xarses can you paste the output of 'ls -l /sys/block' on one of the nodes so we can review the test patterns
19:14 albionandrew xarses I'm in the middle of something at the moment I'll do in an hour or so.
19:14 xarses albionandrew: thats fine, take you time =)
19:35 albionandrew xarses from one of the nodes - The node in the diag snapshot with the MAC that 40:D0 - http://pastebin.com/yj3V2yRq

20:52 xarses albionandrew: can you post the output from 'ohai'
20:54 xarses I should only need the block devices section, which is usually first

21:01 xarses hmm, thats odd
