00:45 dmit2k good evening / morning
00:47 dmit2k a kind of an abstract question.... is there in a wild a kind of a "portable cloud VM format" ?...
00:48 dmit2k what I mean, is a format which would allow migration of a VM across different clouds
00:48 dmit2k ]not only volumes / images but also firewall filters, NAT rules, etc
00:51 dmit2k For example: upgrade to CloudStack 4.3 from 4.2.1 broke EVERYTHING in my cloud, And I find it quite stupid to backup all the "internals" of the system, like database, scripts, binaries, etc
00:52 dmit2k I would prefer to "export" all the VM's including cloud networking setup, NAT rules, IP's etc
00:53 dmit2k then install (or change) the cloud infrastructure and reimport
00:57 dmit2k 'cause I already have a distributed storage (CEPH) whicj still holds all the actual VM data

12:16 dubmusic I was under the impression that Neutron could support duplicate  networks in different projects.  For example I have developers that  wish to build out multiple environments with servers that have hard-coded IP addressing (let’s say 10.0.0.0/24 addresses)  Is this possible to implement in a Fuel - VLAN-base cluster

13:07 dubmusic Any thoughts on the overlapping IPs between tenants?  I see that the allow_overlapping_ips = False is set in /etc/neutron/neutron.conf.  What would be the procedure to enable overlapping IPs
13:14 dubmusic After some research, I have discovered this bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/fuel/+bug/1287126
13:14 dubmusic Is this relevant to my issue.  If so, what is the best work around?

13:17 xenolog_ after deploy Openstack by Fuel  allow_overlappind_ips option will be True
13:17 xenolog_
13:18 MiroslavAnashkin Yes, it is exactly this bug.
13:19 dubmusic It is set to false now.  What is the best way to correct this?  Which servers need to be corrected and which servers need to be restarted?
13:19 MiroslavAnashkin Fix is trivial - simply set allow_overlapping_ips back to True.
13:19 dubmusic OK
13:19 dubmusic on the controllers and compute nodes, correct?
13:20 dubmusic Then restart neutron services, on all these nodes, along with OVS?  Or just neutron.
13:21 dubmusic What is the best way to restart the services on an HA cluster?
13:22 MiroslavAnashkin Set this parameter on every controller and restart only neutron server on eack controller
13:22 MiroslavAnashkin each

13:24 dubmusic OK.  Thank you.
13:24 dubmusic I will give this a try
13:29 dubmusic What about this warning in the neutron.conf file:
13:29 dubmusic Attention: the following parameter MUST be set to False if Neutron is
13:29 dubmusic # being used in conjunction with nova security groups
13:31 anotchenko joined #fuel
13:31 dubmusic Are these two features mutually exlcusive?
13:33 dubmusic Will the overlapping IP subnets break Nova security, even using name spaces?
13:35 MiroslavAnashkin There are Neutron security groups and Nova security groups. By default, if Neutron is used, Neutron security groups are in use. But there are people who enables Nova security at the same time with Neutron
13:37 dubmusic OK.  I am using the security groups set up in Horizon.  I imagine that, by default, this is a neutron secgroup
