15:10 TVR_ Anyone set up twin external networks in here? Two floating IP pools?
15:13 mattymo TVR_, I know neutron doesn't support it with Fuel in 4.1 or 5.0 for sure
15:14 mattymo it has to be 1 contiguous network space
15:24 TVR_ so.. two external subnets... two routers.. and one internal network?
15:24 TVR_ have puppet or whatever decide the IP once heat builds it?
15:24 TVR_ decide the router IP.. sorry
15:36 rmoe joined #fuel
15:41 TVR_ So.. does Neutron support it with the existing fuel config? As in, can I add it in after the fact with neutron commands? Has anyone done anything similar?
15:42 TVR_ I am having an issue getting the interfaces to my router (new one added ) to come up... so I was wondering what I am missing
15:45 MiroslavAnashkin May be this will help you: http://docs.openstack.org/admin-guide-cloud/content/advanced_networking.html

15:52 TVR_ thank you.. yes... I am / have created the router, net and subnet ...

17:27 oak2278 In 5.0 is there a dnsmasq for registered nodes? Doesn't seem to be running in my testbed.
17:34 TVR_ I find the registered nodes from /var/lib/dnsmasq/dnsmasq.leases
17:35 TVR_ this isn't being created or populated
17:35 TVR_ ?
17:36 TVR_ my kingdom for a twin subnet'd external floating IP pool
17:40 oak2278 correct dnsmasq does not seem to be there at all
17:52 TVR_ So.. can I get a sanity check here as to why we cannot have two public IP ranges with the current setup? I think I understand the why, but would like someone to sanity check me on this
17:52 TVR_ And I am talking about two sepparate CIDR's that do not intersect

17:58 MiroslavAnashkin oak2278: There is DHRelay, which redirects all requests to the proper Docker container with running DNSmasq
18:08 Kupo24z MiroslavAnashkin: thats the API for fuel i believe, what about nova/keystone/glance API logs?
18:09 MiroslavAnashkin All the logs in 5.0 are in /var/log/docker-logs/
18:17 Kupo24z MiroslavAnashkin: which server are those on?
18:18 MiroslavAnashkin master node,  /var/log/docker-logs/remote/<openstack node IP>
18:20 Kupo24z ah okay found it
18:21 Kupo24z weird, my 3rd party app is getting 'WARNING: Authorization failed. The request you have made requires authentication.' from keystone even though i entered the correct credentials. I noticed Fuel sets the admin/internal url's to the private ip's
18:24 Kupo24z can i adjust these endpoint url's to be public facing, or add a new one?

19:01 Kupo24z MiroslavAnashkin: is keystone v3 enabled on nodes at all or does it have to be manually done?
19:03 MiroslavAnashkin If my sclerosis remember well - OpenStack services doen not support keystone v3.

20:16 Arminder from hrizon, how does one boot from iso and also volume attached?
20:17 Arminder i know its not fuel specific, but it would be nice to hear the views of the experienced ones
20:18 Kupo24z Arminder: create the ISO image in glance and boot from that, after the instance is made attach the volume manually
20:18 christopheraedo If this wiki page is still accurate, there has been no movement on the front in a long time: https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/BootFromISO
20:18 blahRus1 joined #fuel
20:19 christopheraedo actually I take that back, sorry, that's the issue of having usable ephemeral space on a boot-from-iso instance.  Kupo24z is correct, you can attach a volume to an instance that was booted from ISO
20:20 e0ne joined #fuel
20:26 Arminder so ephemeral is required
20:26 Arminder i used to love the way it was in grizzly
20:27 Arminder where volume attachment was in separate tab
20:27 Arminder and then you can use boot from image and boot it from iso
20:28 Arminder no ephemeral was required in that case
20:29 Arminder i wonder why they clubbed them together
20:29 Arminder losing a functionality doing so
20:35 christopheraedo As far as I know (and supported by this bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/nova/+bug/914484) there's still no ephemeral if you boot from ISO under KVM
20:41 Arminder weird, on 5.0, it isn't booting from iso
20:41 Arminder says not a bootable disk
20:41 Arminder i tried with a centos6.4 minimal iso

21:27 Kupo24z Arminder: are you attempting to install CentOS to a volume for snapshots or imaging?
21:27 Kupo24z if so its much easier to do it the openstack preferred way (an external KVM install)
21:31 Kupo24z I just setup http://mirrors.easynews.com//linux/centos/6/isos/x86_64/CentOS-6.5-x86_64-minimal.iso as an ISO in glance and was able to create an instance booting from it
21:31 Kupo24z confirmed it booted to the install centos menu
