13:49 vogelc I need to download the latest stable build of 5.0 or even 5.0.1.   What is the bet way to do this.  I have been running 'git clone https://github.com/stackforge/fuel-main --branch=stable/5.0'
13:50 mattymo git clone (repo)
13:50 mattymo then git checkout origin/stable/5.0
13:50 mattymo then make iso

16:11 neophy I installed Openstack Icehouse using  fuel 5.0 virtualbox script. I can access openstack dashboard from the same host. I have assigned public ip to access dashboard from out side. But I can't access dashboard url using public ip from outside. Is there a way to get outside access to dashboard?
16:13 neophy I can access dashboard using http://10.20.0.10/dashboad from host machine but I can access http://<public_url>/dashboard from host machine or outside

16:20 evg_ neophy: check if forwarding is enabled on interfaces, check iptables and if the public ip is routeble outside
16:25 neophy <evg_> I have to check /etc/sysctl.conf right?
16:26 evg_ neophy: no, sysctl -a | grep forwarding
16:27 neophy <evg_>: http://paste.openstack.org/show/85334/
16:28 evg_ neophy: wait, you can make your master accessible via routing (L3) or via switching (L2)
16:29 evg_ neophy: what do you try?
16:30 neophy fuel master?
16:30 evg_ neophy: yes
16:31 evg_ neophy: oh, you are about dashboar, i'm sorry...
16:31 neophy yes
16:34 neophy <evg_>: yes. I have configured Fuel UI network tab to use my network ip instead of default 172.16.0.2 to 126
16:37 evg_ neophy: any way do you wont to route the network? or use switching?
16:38 evg_ neophy: what is a gateway for your network? (in other words)
16:39 neophy 10.209.224.1
16:40 evg_ neophy: where is this ip set up?
16:41 neophy It is internal network. I have configured range of Ip's
16:43 evg_ neophy: you said about public network
16:44 neophy <evg_>oh, sorry.  I said I configured this internal ip in Fuel UI -> network tab -> public
16:45 evg_ neophy: hm
16:46 neophy default it is 172.16.0.1/24. I can't access this from my network. that's why I configured my internal network ip instead of 172.17.0.1/24
16:46 evg_ neophy: rereading thread....
16:48 neophy <evg_> I have remote box and installed Centos 6.5 and installed VNC, Virtualbox.
16:49 evg_ neophy: may be you need dnat/snat to access inside?
16:49 neophy I am connecting through VNC console and running virtual box script there. Now I have four vm running one Master, controller+compute+storage
16:50 evg_ neophy: look here: http://docs.mirantis.com/fuel/fuel-5.0/virtualbox.html search networking
16:50 evg_ neophy: http://docs.mirantis.com/fuel/fuel-5.0/virtualbox.html#networking
16:54 evg_ neophy: i use qemu instead vb, but i remember only vboxnet0 has access outside by default.

20:53 fhond Can someone help with with a basic question on Fuel?  I am first time user and wanted to find out how to set hostnames of the nodes discovered by fuel.  By default I get the names node-1, node-2 and so on but I would like them to have hostnames like, controller-01, controller-02, compute-01 and so on.  Is this possible and if so,  how would I do this?
