09:52 dotty Hi everyone. I'm trying to set up a Mirantis cloud on a few dedicated servers we have however having trouble with the networking. I've configured all the networks to sit on eth1 except 'public', which is on eth0. Problem is: the hosting provider has a DHCP server on eth0 and Fuel is discovering it when verifying the networks, causing it to fail. We don't have control over the upstream router. Does anyone know of a possible solution to this?
10:04 evg_ dotty: Hi, and so the probles is only in network's tests?
10:05 dotty Hi evg_, yep - I've just started setting it up, haven't deployed the cloud yet. When I click "Verify Networks" I get a lot of errors.

10:19 evg_ dotty: and all your servers are connected to provaider's switch you does't control?
10:22 dotty That's right, yep
10:25 evg_ dotty: if provider's dhpc doesn't prevent your pxe booting and if nou know the reason the test fail you can live with it
10:26 dotty evg_, interesting - do you know what might break as a result?
10:27 evg_ dotty: but might need configure the switch accoring to your network design
10:29 dotty evg_, ah, we don't have any control over the switch (and the switch likely isn't managed)
10:30 evg_ dotty: network tests berofe deployment? it should be written below.
10:35 evg_ dotty: slippery situation. Try configure the simplest network model
10:37 evg_ dotty: see nova-network flatdhcp model and remove all vlans marks during configuration
10:37 dotty evg_ that's what we're using but thanks, will try removing the vlan marks

12:33 odyssey4me in the neutron l3 configuration in the UI, what is the 'internal network CIDR' used for? is that for a network to be created in the admin tenant?

14:26 evg_ odyssey4me: yes, it's a network created for admin tenant. I've tried to find it in docs...but...
14:29 odyssey4me evg_ well, that's only useful for test purposes... even then, the tests should rather build a different network
