07:28 sbartel I am trying to download fuel 5.0.1 iso from Mirantis website
07:28 sbartel with no success
07:28 Baboune same pb
07:28 sbartel is there any known issu about the download?
07:29 Baboune I can not either
07:32 mattymo I just tried myself. I will file a ticket to our web portal team
07:32 mattymo it doesn't seem to work

07:37 artem_panchenko mattymo: it seems that you need to accept terms and conditions first https://software.mirantis.com/terms-and-conditions/ because I successfully started to download upgrade tarball from the website a minute ago
07:41 Baboune I confirm,  going first to https://software.mirantis.com/terms-and-conditions/ allowed me to download...

07:42 Baboune must be a redirect or pop up that fails if trying to download directly

10:09 sbartel so for ml2 we will have to wait for the 5.1 which is planned for thursday according to https://wiki.openstack.org/wiki/Fuel/5.1_Release_Schedule ?

12:14 hyperbaba_ hi there,
12:15 hyperbaba_ i am trying to add ceilometer telemetry manually to openstack instance created by fuel. The problem is how to force ceilometer-api to listen on port 8777 in "haproxy" net name space? The listening is only active on default name space.

17:28 kupo24z1 The code on https://github.com/stackforge/fuel-main and other sites, is it 5.1 (latest) or 5.0.1 (latest GA)?
17:29 jaypipes joined #fuel
17:29 gleam depends on the branch
17:29 gleam https://github.com/stackforge/fuel-main/tree/stable/5.0
17:29 gleam master is 5.1
17:29 kupo24z1 Whats the difference between https://github.com/stackforge/fuel-main/tree/5.0.1 and https://github.com/stackforge/fuel-main/tree/stable/5.0 ?
17:30 kupo24z1 im guessing you can trust the tags?
17:30 gleam the tag would be a release
17:30 kupo24z1 Ok
17:30 gleam so 5.0.1 is the exact 5.0.1 release, stable/5.0 would include everything committed after the 5.0.1 tag
17:30 gleam (so presumably for a 5.0.2)
17:31 gleam which is basically nothing since 5.0.1 just got tagged
17:31 kupo24z1 Heh yeah
17:31 kupo24z1 thanks
17:34 kupo24z1 gleam: and http://docs.mirantis.com/fuel-dev/develop/env.html is still acurate instructions for compiling the ISO?
17:38 gleam dunno that one
17:38 gleam but it looks like it was updated for the 5.0 tag so i'd guess so

17:47 gregory_pmd afternoon gentlemen
17:48 xarses joined #fuel
17:49 kupo24z1 gleam: To make a normal ISO is only 5.1 & 5.2 required on http://docs.mirantis.com/fuel-dev/develop/env.html ?
17:50 gleam i believe so
17:50 gleam there are also jenkins autobuilds, dunno if those meet your needs
17:51 kupo24z1 Nah, i need one for the 5.0.1 release specifically since it has the HA fixes
17:52 gleam well, the last build was less than 2 hours ago
17:52 gleam but that is probably the master branch eh?
17:52 gleam i dunno nothing
17:52 kupo24z1 this one ? https://github.com/stackforge/fuel-main/tree/5.0.1
17:53 KodiakF2 left #fuel
17:54 gleam i was thinking https://fuel-jenkins.mirantis.com/view/ISO/job/publish_fuel_community_iso/39/ but i am pretty sure it's master, not 5.0.1
17:54 kupo24z1 Oh yeah, xarses confirmed that for me its bleeding edge 5.1
17:54 gleam yea
17:54 gleam k
17:54 xarses correct, its master
17:54 kupo24z1 Plus you can see from the package list in the build
17:54 kupo24z1 5.1.x packages
17:55 gleam oh indeed.

18:11 gregory_pmd so, I'm building a new fuel (5.0.1) master and Docker0 didn't show up in the config menu, only eth0.  Normal behavior or issue?
18:13 MiroslavAnashkin Docker0 appearance was a bug.
18:16 angdraug joined #fuel
18:17 gregory_pmd so all good?
18:20 MiroslavAnashkin Yes, you don't need to configure Docker0 and Docker virtual network.
18:21 gregory_pmd awesome. more impressed with this the more I play with it.
18:22 getup- joined #fuel
18:23 gregory_pmd also noticing a "Starting dhcrelay = Failed" on fuel node boot.  relevant?
18:29 MiroslavAnashkin Dhcrelay should be started by appropriate container, which provides it proper settings. Since it is separate service, it is also starts when OS boots and fails without settings. Later, nailgun or cobbler containers restarts it properly
18:37 gregory_pmd cool, thanks for letting me know (don't like seeing red "Failure" on boot.) :)
18:38 kupo24z1 Hmm, getting this error when running 'make iso' make: *** [/usr/local/src/fuel/fuel-main/build/mirror/centos/yum.done] Error 1
18:41 kupo24z1 looks like it cant find 38 packages; http://pastebin.mozilla.org/6040855
18:42 kupo24z1 There a repo I need to add or something?
18:44 MiroslavAnashkin You should try to build 5.0.1 ISO with build scripts from Fuel-main/stable/5.0 branch. Build scripts in master branch has significant changes and on-site manual still does not reflect these changes. Sorry for this inconvenience,
18:45 kupo24z1 Ok
18:45 kupo24z1 Ill delete the directories and try that
18:47 MiroslavAnashkin And please check your build machine or VM - 2 gigs of RAM is not sufficient and your machine should have 60+ free gigs on HDD
18:49 kupo24z1 MiroslavAnashkin: what is the command to clone from the stable/5.0? I get error: The requested URL returned error: 403 while accessing https://github.com/stackforge/fuel-main/tree/stable/5.0/info/refs
18:52 kupo24z1 nvm just got the zip
19:02 kupo24z1 MiroslavAnashkin: does the prep steps/make iso install astute at all? I am getting error: File not found: /tmp/BUILDROOT/ruby21-rubygem-astute-0.0.2-9.x86_64/usr/lib64/ruby/gems/2.1.0/gems/astute-0.0.2/lib/astute/redhat_checker.rb

19:05 f10d4 hi
19:08 lordd_ joined #fuel
19:13 MiroslavAnashkin prepare-build-env.sh should do everything in order to run make iso successfully.
19:15 MiroslavAnashkin Oh, it appeared in 5.1...
19:15 kupo24z1 It looks like https://github.com/stackforge/fuel-main/tree/stable/5.0 doesnt have that

19:18 MiroslavAnashkin Then you have to follow the build preparation steps and clone all 5 repos manually http://docs.mirantis.com/fuel-dev/develop/env.html#getting-the-source-code
19:27 kupo24z1 MiroslavAnashkin: from all 6 repositories (fuel-main, fuel-web, fuel-astute, etc) Where should they be stored?
19:33 MiroslavAnashkin Hmm, repos should be cloned automatically and pointed to the necessary branch by the makefile.
19:33 MiroslavAnashkin My mistake(
19:36 kupo24z1 MiroslavAnashkin: i set FUELLIB_COMMIT?=tags/5.0.1 etc is that correct?
19:38 MiroslavAnashkin tags/5.0.1 is released 5.0.1 version. 5.0.2 is current stable/5.0
19:38 kupo24z1 Correct, I need 5.0.1 as 5.0.2 is unreleased and under dev
19:39 MiroslavAnashkin And please set the same tag for all repos FUELLIB_COMMIT, NAILGUN_COMMIT, ASTUTE_COMMIT and OSTF_COMMIT
19:39 kupo24z1 Yep thats done

19:56 geekinutah joined #fuel

20:11 e0ne joined #fuel
20:14 mattgriffin joined #fuel
20:14 MiroslavAnashkin prepare-build-env.sh has been added recently
20:17 christopheraedo Yes, understand prepare-build-env was recent, but I thought that work was targeted at v5.0.1? It should apply to everything in the 5 branch
20:17 lordd_ joined #fuel
20:17 christopheraedo (or, should work for v5 builds I should say)
20:17 MiroslavAnashkin Then we have to back port it to 5.0
20:18 MiroslavAnashkin It was originally made for 5.1 only.
20:22 christopheraedo ah yes, I see that milestone was 5.1 :( Don't think it's a big deal, I was just surprised - still works as intended for people doing fuel dev at any rate.
20:27 kupo24z1 MiroslavAnashkin: Any known workarounds for that issue?
20:35 MiroslavAnashkin You have to clone stackforge/fuel-main manually, checkout the target branch. Then, apply the fix to /packages/rpm/specs in fuel-main repository and comment out all fuel-main cloning in build scripts. Instead, copy it manually to the target directory.
20:36 MiroslavAnashkin Or clone this repo, commit a fix and use cloned repo instead of stackforge/fuel-main
20:36 e0ne joined #fuel
20:47 kupo24z1 MiroslavAnashkin: I don't believe the fix for 5.1 fixes it for 5.0.1
20:48 kupo24z1 it just disables the check
21:04 kupo24z1 tried a normal compile of the stable/5.0 branch and got this udev-147-2.51.el6.x86_64 has missing requires of /sbin/service; udev-147-2.51.el6.x86_64 has missing requires of MAKEDEV >= ('0', '3.11', None)
