00:00 kupo24z does that nuke the existing docker and recreate?
00:01 kupo24z Diddnt seem to change the container id and the logs show the same
00:02 kupo24z Also it looks like two env's are stuck in deploying and deleting
00:11 kupo24z Okay, supervisorctl says uptime is 0:09 however docker says the rabbitmq container has been up for an hour
00:11 kupo24z thats confusing
00:11 kupo24z Yeah, still socket errors
00:14 kupo24z xarses: https://bugs.launchpad.net/fuel/+bug/1358972

01:09 KodiakF2 Probably it's too late for anyone to reply but where's the 5.x download link for Fuel hidden behind software.mirantis.com?  I did the opt-in to download fuel for virtualbox once before but wanted to go back and look at what was there now that I've got time to set it up on KVM...
01:11 kupo24z KodiakF2: https://software.mirantis.com/ ?
01:12 KodiakF2 kupo24z:  brother if you find me a no-BS download link on that page I'll owe you a beer
01:13 KodiakF2 They appear to hide the current release behind an 'opt-in' wall; I've already opted in a week ago to do the initial download, and now even after logging in w/ the password they sent me I can't find the 5.x stuff
01:14 kupo24z Do you get a 'Download ISO' button on the site?
01:14 kupo24z afaik they dont have any easy download links, only the opt-in ones https://software.mirantis.com/terms-and-conditions/
01:21 KodiakF2 Nope no Download ISO button sadly
01:21 KodiakF2 Yea did the opt-in already - hate to do it every time I want to download, already have an account.
01:22 KodiakF2 While I'm complaining for those @mirantis peeps, MCA200 is the only industry exam certification I've ever not seen posted objectives / areas/ topics for...
01:24 kupo24z KodiakF2: I think they are still working on the site, probably with the forcing of the new TOS its a bit buggy right now
01:25 Bello2 kupo24z: launched instance on a volume, took down the compute. evacuate the instance, changed the reference to old host in sql as suggested, reset starte, hard reboot, still does not seems to work. any suggestion?
01:26 kupo24z Bello2: I am using Ceph Ephemeral in that workaround, it may be different for boot-from-volume
01:26 kupo24z what is your instance state?
01:26 Bello2 currently in error state
01:26 kupo24z in horizon/nova does it say the correct host (ie what you changed it in the DB)?
01:26 Bello2 yes
01:27 kupo24z I'd check the nova log when you try to start it up on the compute node you moved it to
01:28 KodiakF2 kupo24z:  totally fair - if they are working on the site here's some hopefully constructive input - make the hosted Mirantis Openstack Express pages and whatnot friendly to CIOs, but keep the nuts-and-bolts Fuel stuff sysadmin friendly (ie make it a no-BS affair to get at the raw bits and the docs)
01:29 KodiakF2 aesthetically it's certainly a very nice looking website, but as-is it doesn't let people get at the bits and get on w/ life
01:30 Bello2 ok will looks deeper into this, how do i create ephemeral for instnace?
01:31 KodiakF2 kupoF2:  Here's a what I was looking for!  https://software.mirantis.com/how-to-contribute/#murano
01:31 KodiakF2 that link has the Fuel bits on stackforge apparently :)
01:32 Bello2 nova-compute     node-10                              nova             enabled    XXX   2014-08-19 08:38:38  hmm looks liek the other compute is not well, maybe thats why
01:36 kupo24z KodiakF2: Yes, sorry I thought you were looking for a link to the Mirantis GA Fuel release
01:36 kupo24z KodiakF2: the source code is there if you want to make your own ISO
01:36 kupo24z http://docs.mirantis.com/fuel-dev/develop/env.html
01:38 kupo24z FYI on my dev server I had to use Ubuntu 12 LTS + Kernel 3.16.1 for docker not to cry itself to sleep
01:38 KodiakF2 kupo24z:  I'll take what I can get!  Basically I want to work on it at home in my lab whilst contracts and whatnot are sorted at work - get a jump on things
01:39 kupo24z If you want a pre-compiled community image go here https://fuel-jenkins.mirantis.com/view/ISO/job/publish_fuel_community_iso/ however its bleeding edge, 5.1 release which is still in active dev
01:45 jaypipes joined #fuel
01:48 KodiakF2 Sweet - that's good enough for me - and pretty much what I was looking for.  Found the 5.0 iso I'd stashed in /tmp last week too

06:24 xarses looks like mcollective had problems with messages from node-24 (first controller)
06:25 xarses try mco ping a couple of times
06:26 Kupo24z1 is mco a binary?
06:26 xarses yes
06:26 xarses its for mcollective
06:26 Kupo24z1 oh nvm yeah its on the master node
06:26 xarses ping is a function it knows

06:38 xarses if you try to deploy again, does it finish?
06:41 Kupo24z1 No, ive deployed 3 times with a similar error each time
06:41 xarses ceph?
06:42 Kupo24z1 Yes, here is the full astute log http://pastebin.mozilla.org/6064947
06:42 Kupo24z1 With warning filter, it gets crazy big without

07:11 Kupo24z1 i got a health warn
07:11 Kupo24z1 health HEALTH_WARN pool .rgw.root pg_num 512 > pgp_num 8
07:11 Kupo24z1 pg_num and pgp_num are supposed to be the same
07:11 Kupo24z1 afaik

07:13 Kupo24z1 health is ok after ceph osd pool set .rgw.root pgp_num 512

07:14 xarses not sure about that one
07:15 xarses but please file a bug and attach support bundle if possible so we can look at it
07:17 Kupo24z1 done https://bugs.launchpad.net/fuel/+bug/1359064

14:28 DaveJ__ Hi guys - my install with Fuel 5.0.1 failed.  The nodes just seemed to freeze.  Now I can't remove the nodes or delete the environment
14:28 DaveJ__ is there any way to forceabiltiy do that ?
14:34 DaveJ__ The two nodes in the deployment have been rebooted, but I'm assuming there is some processes hanging around on the fuel master preventing me from deleting the environment

15:31 DaveJ__ evg: They were provisioning, so looks like CentOS was on there
15:31 DaveJ__ evg: http://pastebin.com/wMQa9i6k
15:32 DaveJ__ evg: Those tasks were running, but this had been left overnight
15:32 DaveJ__ evg: http://pastebin.com/bSyQNibW
15:37 evg DaveJ__: what if you try deleting task "fuel task delete..." and then remove nodes?
15:47 evg DaveJ__: Am I right, these nodes are gone offline?

18:06 kupo24z Yeah saw that
18:06 xarses ok, thought my term was locked out
18:07 kupo24z however the latest comment suggests that its an intermittent issue and I could reproduce it every time
18:08 kupo24z I'm reloading now with build 45
18:10 kupo24z Also have to reproduce the socket error issue
18:12 xarses ok
18:14 kupo24z xarses: there any way to check in the puppet manifest for the pool creation pgp_num in .rgw.root? I don't think that was addressed before closing the bug
18:18 xarses kupo24z: .rgw.* is created by rgw when it starts
18:18 xarses which bug?
18:18 xarses so it would likely be a bug in rgw
18:19 kupo24z it was health HEALTH_WARN pool .rgw.root pg_num 512 > pgp_num 8 when the deployment was finished
18:19 xarses correct, do you have a bug # or link for me to re-open?
18:20 kupo24z I commented on it in https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1359064 however it may be better as a seperate issue

19:16 kupo24z xarses: would it be possible to provide IPMI access to my env for this? https://bugs.launchpad.net/fuel/+bug/1358972
