02:10 Kupo24z1 klonhjcertusnet: what network options did you use
02:10 Kupo24z1 I am currently using Neutron+GRE with 1 NIC, cant speak for other setups
02:11 klonhjcertusnet I have used Neutron+VLAN
02:12 klonhjcertusnet Is that OK?

13:40 ianunruh does Fuel sync the Puppet stuff out to the nodes? I'm wanting to supplement the usual Fuel modules with some monitoring software. Will I need to push out custom manifests to each node (SCP/rsync)?

13:53 kaliya ianunruh, do you mean you want to add your custom puppet modules to new environments?
13:55 manashkin_ No, Fuel places all the necessary manifests to the nodes automatically. It uses rsync with /etc/puppet/modules directory on the master node

14:01 ganso Guys I am thinking about logging a critical bug that is only happening on CentOS nodes (default installation), can anyone confirm the same behavior? 1. Create volume -> 2. Create snapshot -> 3. Delete Snapshot -> 4. Error when deleting volume
14:02 ganso I followed with "ls -la /dev/mapper" between each operation, and the "Delete snapshot" task is also removing the respective volume entry

14:06 kaliya ganso, do you have a more verbose error message?

14:09 ganso I have the log on pastebin

14:17 kaliya thanks ganso I am looking
14:22 manashkin_ It is known Cinder LVM driver bug. Fix is expected in both, upcoming Juno and Icehouse 2014.1.2 releases

14:22 manashkin_ https://bugs.launchpad.net/cinder/+bug/1317075
14:23 manashkin_ Even 2 similar bugs

16:40 BillTheKat I am trying to install the 5.0.1 ISO - after I finish the fuelmenu the install seems to go into a loop of:  "EXT4-fs (dm-5): mounted filesystem with ordered data node. Opts:"  It does this in a loop for dm5 and dm6 then starts over with "loading docker image /var/www/nailgun/docker/images/nailgin.tar..... then goes into the dm5 and dm5 mount loop.  Help?
16:43 BillTheKat Never mind - maybe this is normal but takes a while?
16:54 manashkin_ It may take the whole hour - it is normal.
16:56 BillTheKat manashkin: yes it installed OK - it just took a while.........  Sorry for the confusion.

17:26 ganso manashkin_: about the snapshot problem, if this is a known cinder issue, I don't understand why it works on my ubuntu nodes but does not work on my centOS nodes
17:27 ganso is the centOS mirantis 5.0 packaging using a buggy version of cinder then?
17:29 manashkin_ It also depends on host OS version. Bug thread describes it works under Ubuntu pre-14.04 versions, but does not under 14.04
17:31 manashkin_ Here is the better description of the same bug: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1087886
17:34 manashkin_ The reason that causes lvremove to hang is that by default lvm.conf contains this entry:
17:34 manashkin_ "ignore_suspended_devices = 0"
17:35 manashkin_ Looks like the Ubuntu defaults does not include this setting.
17:37 ganso that last link you posted is exactly what I am facing. Thanks! From what I understand, it is possible to work around that by changing that setting, but that is not a good approach

19:19 kupo24z xarses: is it avail though the CLI then? I cant seem to find any documentation on it
19:23 xarses for 5.1, all of the core neutron packages are present, beyond that we don't support installing or configuring them at this point. They are purely present so that they are built against our patch sets
19:28 kupo24z Oh, okay i was just reading this http://www.juniper.net/us/en/local/pdf/misc/9030272-en.pdf and thought it had some sort of configuration
19:34 xarses hmm
19:37 xarses Apparently, its some special version that is not in mainline fuel yet

23:48 ianunruh okay, got my custom stuff into puppet on the Fuel master, figured out how to push it (mco rpc execute_shell_command execute cmd=puppet-pull)
23:48 ianunruh now, need to get some packages that aren't available on my nodes.. like libmysqlclient-cev
23:48 ianunruh *dev
23:48 ianunruh is there a standard procedure for that?
23:49 kupo24z Doesnt it pull the package list from the fuel master? Could add your packages there if so
23:50 emagana joined #fuel
23:52 ianunruh all I know is that my nodes all have a single entry in sources.list.. (http://172.20.0.3:8080/ubuntu/fuelweb/x86_64)
23:53 ianunruh which points to /var/www/nailgun on the fuel master node
23:58 ianunruh which is hosted in the nginx docker container
