06:55 anand_ts hello all, using Fuel 5.0 , 1 master node, 3 controllers and 1 compute node, as per the user guide. where the instances are getting stored? in controller itself? How I will get instance HA with zero downtime? doc is lilttle bit confusing for me.

08:20 vtzan MiroslavAnashkin: Can you share the latest python-oslo.messaging_1.3.0-fuel5.1~mira5+git.45d0e27.52b8e94_all.deb somehow? thx

08:23 baboune hello.  5.1 is out,  Will 5.1 deploy LLDP as part of the centos and/or ubuntu nodes?
08:24 phreak__ wow, the fuel dash is finally auth'ed
08:26 kaliya anand_ts: you have before to create a volume in Volumes tab - MyVol -, starting from the cirros (volume source: Image). Then, when you launch your instance, you have to specify the boot volume (MyVol)

08:31 kaliya baboune: no lldp yet. We have a blueprint for a possibly future integration, but in master. What will it be useful for you on nodes? If you explain, I'll add as a comment for the developing workflow :)

08:32 enik_ is there any fuel-community-release-5.1.iso torrent?
08:33 stamak joined #fuel
08:35 kaliya_ enik_: you can find the torrents for the community builds here https://fuel-jenkins.mirantis.com/view/ISO/
08:37 baboune kaliya_: We have tried to experment with an MXL switch from DELL that uses OpenFlow, and in order for the switch to properly identify the host it requires LLDP to be running on the nodes
08:38 baboune kaliya: any tps on how to install the LLDP packages would be woelcome though.  I tried with repositories from fuel and ubuntu precise but got  alot of conflicting packages and dependencies
08:40 kaliya baboune: I'm looking
08:45 kaliya baboune: I tried on a Fuel 5.1 deployed on CentOS and this is working fine: http://software.opensuse.org/download.html?project=home:vbernat&package=lldpd
08:45 kaliya [root@node-19 yum.repos.d]# /etc/init.d/lldpd start
08:45 kaliya Starting lldpd:                                            [  OK  ]
08:46 enik_ kaliya: yes I know, but is any of this marked as "community release 5.1" ? or do I have to pick any and it is (should be) stable?

09:59 klonhjcertus Hi all!Now I have a new rpm package, how can add it to the repodata? With createrepo command?
10:01 mattymo you can add it to requirements-rpm.txt and rebuild a Fuel ISO (I can give you a link)
10:01 mattymo or you can copy it to /var/www/nailgun/centos .... and put it in the Packages folder
10:01 mattymo then run the following command: yum install -y createrepo; cd /var/www/nailgun/centos/fuelweb/x86_64/ && createrepo -g repodata/*comps.xml .
10:02 klonhjcertus I have putted it into /var/www/nailgun/centos... but yum search has no result.
10:02 Ch00k joined #fuel
10:02 mattymo then on your hosts you need to run yum clean expire-cache
10:02 klonhjcertus OK!I'm  going to trying
10:02 mattymo (cache expires only after 6 hours by default)
10:03 mattymo not sure if that createrepo will work. if not, just try again with separate commands
10:05 klonhjcertus There appears an error:Error: Must specify a directory to index..
10:08 mattymo you're missing the period at the end

11:05 sc-rm Just upgraded to fuel 5.1 but I’m not able to delete a stack and I’m not able to see logs for a given node in the fuel backend
11:21 pasquier-s joined #fuel
11:23 kaliya sc-rm: from 5.0.1?
11:24 sc-rm kayliya: yep, but now I’m upgrading openstack to see if it changes anything
11:25 kaliya sc-rm: I fear nothing will change. How many environments did you have? Before removing, did you remove (in 5.0.1?)
11:25 flor3k joined #fuel
11:25 sc-rm kaliya: I have one env deployed
11:26 sc-rm kaliya: but I did not remove any deployments, just upgrading everything
11:27 kaliya sc-rm: thanks for providing this info. I will try to reproduce.
11:28 sc-rm let me see, what we end up with after the upgrade, because if it does not work, I’ll try to reinstall everything from scratch
11:29 kaliya sc-rm: so you created an env in 5.0.1, upgraded to 5.1, and you cannot delete this env anymore?
11:31 sc-rm kalya: I created an env in 5.0 and inside openstack I created a stack in the orchestration, but I can not delete surch a stack, then we tried to upgrade to 5.0.1, but still same issue and now trying to upgrade to 5.0.2
11:32 sc-rm kaliya: I can not see logs for other nodes than the fule master after upgrading from fuel 5.0.1 to 5.1
11:32 kaliya sc-rm: you mean a stack with Heat?

12:43 sc-rm how do one remove a node from fuel, it’s offline and broken, so it should no longer be listed as avaliable
12:48 kozhukalov joined #fuel
12:55 kaliya sc-rm: fuel node remove --node-id <ID>
12:55 kaliya you can get the nodes ID with fuel --env <ENV_ID> node
12:56 sc-rm but the node is not in any env
12:56 sc-rm i’ts not allocated to anything
12:57 kaliya so you want to hide it?
12:57 sc-rm if hide it is my only option, so yes, it’s broken down, so it’s never coming back, so that’s why I want to delete it completely

13:07 Dr_drache anand_ts, do have a question, is it normal for compute nodes not to have internet access?
13:11 Dr_drache anand_ts, kaliya : these self test failures, what do they mean : http://i.imgur.com/0dc8thK.png http://i.imgur.com/s09IpVG.png

13:14 sc-rm Dr_drache: I have the same problem with self test
13:17 Dr_drache sc-rm - right, if they are errors in the self test that's fine, but I'd hate to go to production testing knowing there are errors
13:20 sc-rm Dr_drache: exactly my problem too, we are keeping it in testing until it’s clear whether these errors are just test errors or real errors
13:21 Dr_drache sc-rm - what version are you on?
13:22 sc-rm Dr_drache: we are running 5.1 right now, and just tried to reinstall to see if it goes away
13:23 Dr_drache ahh, this is 2 builds older than offical 5.1, I think the Murano ones will always fail until you create a image with Murano metadata then test.
13:24 Dr_drache the autoscaling is rather questionable the reason behind it...

16:21 Dr_drache I have a question on node naming.
16:22 Dr_drache couldn't there be a prefix on that? cont-osd-1 for a controller OSD ?
16:22 Dr_drache node-2 is generic enough that if you have to ssh into one, you really don't know which one you get
