08:26 bogdando vtzan, rsyslog server is being reloaded by postrotate actions of logrotate jobs. Sending SIGHUP is required mostly to refresh file descriptors of opened and unlinked files (lsof +L1).
08:27 bogdando vtzan, actually, all damons should recieve SIGHUP after log rotation. Sadly, not all of them are POSIX compliant and process SIGHUP as appropriate. Good for us, syslog *does*
08:28 bogdando vtzan, if you see SEGV instead of SIGHUP, something goes wrong. Please submit a bug with logs snapshot

10:01 saibarspeis Hi
10:06 saibarspeis Little question: I've deployed an environment with Fuel 5.1 with 3 controller nodes in HA mode
10:06 saibarspeis I want to move horizon dashboard to 443
10:06 saibarspeis Is there a way to do this cleanly ?
10:07 saibarspeis I can't find any documentation relating to this
10:08 kaliya saibarspeis: you should follow official Horizon docs, it's about enabling ssl

10:14 saibarspeis Where are those oficial Horizon docs ?

11:47 saibarspeis kaliya: Thanks for the documentation link but I need to do it in a HA environment
11:47 saibarspeis Meaning I have three controllers
11:47 saibarspeis And there is a management_vip
11:47 saibarspeis Onto which haproxy listens and sends the connection to the inside controller nodes
11:48 saibarspeis I managed to see what was running using crm resource status
11:48 saibarspeis I edited /etc/haproxy/conf.d/015-horizon.conf
11:48 saibarspeis Put :443 instead of :80
11:48 saibarspeis crm resource stop p_haproxy
11:48 saibarspeis crm resource start p_haproxy
11:48 saibarspeis Did not work over :443
11:48 saibarspeis I've put port :80 again back
11:48 saibarspeis Restarted haproxy
11:49 saibarspeis But now I am unable to use the dahsboard not even on port :80

15:06 fetahi Hello room,
15:06 kaliya hi fetahi
15:06 fetahi How do I fix this bug: #1371723

15:07 fetahi https://bugs.launchpad.net/mos/+bug/1371723
15:07 kaliya fetahi: you must upgrade oslo-messaging package. Are you running on Ubuntu or CentOS?
15:07 fetahi ubuntu
15:08 vtzan anyone knows why nova scheduler responds --> "Host has more disk space than database expected (6387gb > 6329gb)"

15:12 fetahi kaliya: how do I upgrade oslo-messaging package? apt-get install python-oslo.messaging says its the newest version
15:13 fetahi kaliya: maybe change the pointers to repository? To where? to this maybe?: http://fuel-repository.mirantis.com/fwm/5.1.1/ubuntu/pool/main/

15:22 fetahi downloading python-oslo.messaging_1.3.0-fuel5.1~mira5_all.deb from the url seems to have done the trick. Thanks for the help kaliya !

16:09 MiroslavAnashkin vtzan: Nova incorrectly calculates available free space for some types of backends. It does not take into account replication factor for Ceph RBD or similar backends.
16:11 vtzan MiroslavAnashkin: thank you for your reply. Indeed this is a ceph enviroment with x2 replication factor. Does this error influences the scheduler negatively on which host will the instance be hosted?
16:12 MiroslavAnashkin It may if there is not enough free space.
16:12 vtzan MiroslavAnashkin: the enviroment has 2 equal compute nodes. The next line of the scheduler log is : Choosing host WeighedHost [host: node-6, weight: 1.0]
16:13 vtzan MiroslavAnashkin: check this: http://paste.openstack.org/show/129716/

21:41 jetole Hey guys. I am hitting a barrier when uploading a 100GB image and hitting used disk space for / due to apache upload of tmp file before it's moved to ceph. Does anyone know how I can resolve this?
21:46 angdraug scp to controller, then glance image-create < file.raw
21:48 mattgriffin joined #fuel
22:12 angdraug joined #fuel
22:55 jetole angdraug: yeah that's the short term plan but it's not really a resolution IMHO. I mean if this is a public cloud then it's a bug which allows arbitrary clients to break the controller
