07:12 baboune hello, deployment stuck at 100%, all nodes report being ready in the nailgun DB, no error in logs. cluster is operational. mirantis 5.1, centos, neutron vlan, ceph for cinder, glance default.   nailgun=# SELECT id, status,error_type from nodes;  id | status | error_type  ----+--------+------------  50 | ready  |   54 | ready  |   68 | ready  |   69 | ready  |   70 | ready  |   52 | ready  |   73 | ready  |   51 | ready  |   71 | ready

08:37 mihag hello, I have a working multi-node HA installation of Mirantis v5.1 Icehouse on CentOS 6.5 (2014.1.1-5.1), using Neutron with GRE tunnells and OVS VLAN splinters hard trunks workaround
08:38 mihag I'm trying to connect VM directly to external network (default net04_ext) and there is no connectivity to external router
08:40 mihag I configure IPs on VM statically with appropriate IPs from external network, but can't ping other devices on that network

08:49 mihag access via tenant networks and floating ips works without problems

13:53 swordzz Hi. I'm setting up Openstack Juno using the Fuel 6.0 Tech Preview. I'm not having much success. When I try and start a new instance it never starts.
13:53 swordzz I've done a reasonable amount of investigation, and have found what seems like a key error stack in nova-compute.log
13:53 swordzz It prints the XML it's using to define the domain, and it has a bit that looks like this:
13:53 swordzz <os><type>hvm</type>
13:54 swordzz If I change it to look like this and then run virsh define domain.xml, then it works
13:54 swordzz <os><type arch="x86_64">hvm</type>
13:54 swordzz Is this a known bug? I can't find it anywhere if so. Any idea what I've got set up incorrectly?
14:00 dkusidlo joined #fuel
14:00 swordzz The error I get is "libvirtError: internal error: no supported architecture for os type 'hvm'"

14:24 swordzz I've found the error - my BIOS didn't have Virtualization Technology enabled
14:24 swordzz Would have been nice for the health check to have realised that KVM wasn't working correctly. Do something based on the output of kvm-ok perhaps?

16:04 bazilza hi, how should i go about canceling the environment reset. There was a problem with network and now fuel stuck in "resetting" forever, without actually doing any resetting
16:04 bazilza i assume i need to clear this state in the database...
16:12 bazilza answering to myself: resetting the environment is a task and could be terminated with "fuel task delete -f --task <task_id>"

16:41 evg swordzz: thanks for the report, it's a nice idea with kvm-ok, but there are already several health tests running instances.

21:03 coryc i just deleted a compute node from my environment and then re-added it but the old host is still showing up in the list of hypervisors in horizon. do I need to do something to get it to not show up?
21:07 MiroslavAnashkin Nope. There is no normal way to delete an old compute node from OpenStack.
21:07 coryc MiroslavAnashkin:  what about un-normal?....lol
21:08 MiroslavAnashkin there is API call. And database.
21:16 Dr_Drache MiroslavAnashkin - how close is 6 to needing "end user" testing?
21:18 MiroslavAnashkin Well, 6.0 at least can be installed...
21:19 Dr_Drache lol
21:20 MiroslavAnashkin But right currently it undergoes the kernel upgrade, so, everything possible.
21:22 Dr_Drache MiroslavAnashkin - I'll talk more on this tomarrow
