07:28 baboune hello, I am having problems with the Astute containers.  Tasks are not being executed.

07:47 baboune in fact astute is just not starting... try number 202 atm...
07:48 baboune "try number 241 return code is 1 ERROR: astute failed to start."
07:49 baboune it is 5.1... with 2 environments managed...
07:57 baboune would it be safe to "revert" the astute container?
08:01 baboune and this behaviour started after I applied: 1387699

11:15 evg baboune: so your astute is not operational? please see here how to recover https://git.openstack.org/cgit/stackforge/fuel-docs/commit/?id=c69cb2ce441b74e09a11afe70a4d733837d753f4

11:48 baboune evg: I recovered astute by rolling back https://bugs.launchpad.net/fuel/+bug/1387699.  After removing the patch, astute started
11:51 baboune evg: I do nto see any of the manifestations as described in the link...  It is more that none of takss are removed from the task list
11:51 baboune evg: like if nothing was listening to the completion of an "operation" .  "Verify Networks" does nto complete for example even if both tasks are at 100% status
11:54 teran joined #fuel
11:56 baboune evg: Maybe the solution is to save the DB, wipe out each container and hope to be able to restore each one by one...  The fact is I would rather figure out where the problem is first?

12:12 acca Hi, somebody know how to remove a node from an environment in Fuel ?
12:18 evg baboune: btw, tasks can stick somemtimes because of network problems
12:20 evg acca: the first fuel node --node-id X --delete

13:34 baboune evg: Ok. but which network?  All RPCs seem to go through... The cluster is functional.  It is only Fuel that fails to complete tasks.
13:49 baboune evg: Additionally, even of tje "verify networks" does not complete as such, both subtasks move to 100% and I can see the traces in astute and RPC that each node reports OK back to the Fuel master.
13:49 baboune "of  tje" = if the
13:54 baboune evg: plus I have two parallel environments. One had been working for months and has now the same behaviour as the one stuck in "Deployment" mode.  That first environment has a sound NW.
13:56 Dr_Drache merdoc - not in production
13:57 Dr_Drache trying to move to that end of this month - but I have one issue left to "work out"
14:07 Dr_Drache merdoc - I need to devide my cluster

14:39 acca @evg: thanks but the problem is my deploment has failed, I cannot see the node from node list but it is in some way booked for the enviroment
14:40 acca I played in the DB and I managed to solved removing some row but I cannot re-deploy that node…
14:40 acca I'm on 4.1

15:16 baboune What does the following message mean: "(receiver) Check dhcp message Node Untitled (2c:8c) discovered DHCP server via eth1 with following parameters: IP: 20.20.20.3, MAC: fa:16:3e:7c:6b:44. This server will conflict with the installation"? logging onto that node there is no such access. Is it  a misleading message for another problem?

16:06 evg acca: please be more clear what's happening. May be you can't boot the node into bootstrap? Then you have to remove it from the cobbler db. Check it here http://10.20.0.2/cobbler_web.
16:10 kaliya baboune: regarding https://answers.launchpad.net/fuel/+question/258562 what's your network topology?
16:17 evg baboune: looks like dhcp conflict. Please check "ip neigh list dev eth1" on the node (2c:8c) or try running "dhcpcd eth1"
16:17 Dr_Drache is there a way to have 2 "zones" for computes/controllers - at the same time have 2 "zones" for ceph?
16:18 kaliya Dr_Drache: what's your purpose?
16:18 Dr_Drache kaliya - DR
16:19 Dr_Drache kaliya - they would be on the same vlan/etc over a thin 100mbit pipe - but sepratated by 13KM
16:21 kaliya for Openstack maybe you can try federation, on ceph I'm less sure
16:21 Dr_Drache kaliya - if I just had OSDs there - that should be enough?
16:22 kaliya Dr_Drache: I never federated Ceph http://ceph.com/docs/master/radosgw/federated-config/
16:52 emagana_ joined #fuel
17:34 Dr_Drache kaliya - does it have to be acually federated?
17:34 Dr_Drache or can I just add more OSDs and zone the computes?

19:04 dhblaz namely if I do tcpdump -i eth3 there is lots of traffic
19:05 dhblaz but tcpdump -i br-eth3 none
19:07 dhblaz ovs-vsctl list-ifaces br-eth3 shows eth3 as an interface

21:15 acca1 @evg: Sorry. I've an already running environment. What I want to do is add a compute node. The deploy process failed and I am in a situation in which is not possible to deploy the node again because Fuel does not recognise it as free anymore.  I've already removed the nodes from cobbler, now I can boot in bootstrap. Unfortunately Fuel doesn't let me deploy the node because it sees it as part of the environment. What I did was remove from the postgres d
21:16 acca1 these are the fuel task: http://paste.openstack.org/show/145738/
