05:20 neophy Hi all, I have a running openstack environment deployed using Fuel 5.1. Now I want to manually install/configure OS and nova-compute on another machine and bring this to part of existing fuel environment. Is it possible?

10:13 hop it doesn't work, it start again, seems due pacemaker
10:15 aliemieshko you neet first set the primitive in maintenance mode (on controller) for neutron-*
10:17 aliemieshko or try like this for example:  pcs resource disable clone_p_neutron-plugin-openvswitch-agent

11:40 Coincoin Can I just install 2 controller in a first step ?
11:41 Coincoin then add a 3rd one and computes ?
12:23 sambork joined #fuel

17:18 neophy xarses: As you said I have connected one nic to the Admin PXE network and other nics are connected to respective network like physical box. Then I added the new node as compute node and deployed it, but the node always goes down after 90% deployment. I tried multiple time and not able to proceed further.
17:19 neophy xarses: Actually I deleted the node after the error. Let me do it again and give you the log so that you will help me.

17:20 xarses what network provider are you using?
17:20 xarses neophy: also can you provide the puppet.log for that node?
17:21 xarses if you had the default logging setup, there would be a copy of it in /var/log/docker-logs/remote/<node hostname>/puppet.log on the fuel master node
17:21 neophy xarses: VLAN
17:21 xarses neutron?
17:22 neophy yes neutron with ML2
17:22 teran__ joined #fuel
17:23 neophy let me take the puppet.log from fuel.
17:24 xarses you should check that the nic type is e1000, and that the virtual switch has all three security types permitted on each network

17:30 teran__ joined #fuel
17:32 xarses neophy_: yes
17:32 xarses neophy_: the nic will be on the instance properties, the default is vmxnet3, if thats the case you can edit the vmx file and replace vmxnet3 with e1000
17:33 xarses the UI at least in 5.5 still wont let you change the nic type
17:33 xarses and the security policy exceptions are a property of the vSwtich

18:02 xarses yes

18:16 neophy_ I changed security policy for three networks 1). mgmt, private, public and storage but not able to do it for PXE network. When I right click PXE network I don't have any option to set this.
18:17 neophy_ xarses: When I right click PXE network I am getting only two option add permission and open in new windows...
18:21 neophy_ xarses: It seems PXE network is create in standard switch but the other networks are part of  mgmt, private, public and storage dvswitch.
18:28 neophy_ xarses: Yes PXE is in standard switch, I changed it too. let me deploy deploy the node.

20:14 youellet I have a 10GBPS network for my network. CEPH seem to be only able to transfert at 88MBytes (1GBPS). I have checked setting on /etc/ceph/* and nothing about 1GBPS limitation. All node is on 10GBPS and SSD.
20:14 youellet network/storage
20:44 xarses youellet: are both your storage and management network roles on the 10Gb interface?
20:45 youellet Only the storage
20:45 youellet i try to deplace my management into 10G too
20:46 xarses the clients will connect to the OSD's on the management interface by default "public_network". the storage network is used for the ceph replication "cluster_network" traffic
20:48 youellet yup
20:48 youellet my management are at 1G and storage 10G i will put both on 10G
