12:40 devstok Kailya!

12:44 willemgf Hi, 3th time I'm trying to setup a POC with Mirantis 6.0 in HA setup and GRE. I have one node with both controller with telemetry, 2 nodes with only controller, 1 node for cinder and at least 1 node for compute. Openstack installation starts first on the node for controller and telemetry. During the installtion process I have seen an error passing by for the creation of the neutron_subnet net04__subnet. Also a notice for Neutron API not available.
12:44 willemgf What could be wrong, how can this be solve?
12:45 willemgf Anyway, the installation is still going on performing other stuff, but I'm afraid it will result in an error.
12:47 willemgf The verification of the network in fuel I performed before the deployment passed well.
12:50 devstok Hi all
12:50 devstok regarding this bug
12:50 devstok https://bugs.launchpad.net/fuel/+bug/1432656
12:51 devstok I thought to proceed shutting the fuel interface on the controller avoiding further problems
12:51 devstok and adding computes
12:51 devstok after the installation i'll modify the /etc/hosts in the controller
12:51 devstok could anyone confirm this procedure?

13:36 admin0 wow .. after like 20 times of deleting and adding back hosts on error and having them reconfigured again and again, finally SUCCESS :D
13:46 MiroslavAnashkin willemgf: Telemetry produces a lot of data. It is highly recommended to separate the MongoDB nodes and controllers. And it is highly recommended to have the same number of MongoDB nodes as the number of controllers.

14:02 samuelBartel hi all
14:03 samuelBartel i am lookinf for a solution to backup and restore my openstack env created by fuel
14:03 samuelBartel is there any tool available with fuel to do it?
14:03 samuelBartel is it planned to add this kind of feature on fuel
14:04 samuelBartel may be #fuel-dev channel will be more appropriate for this kind of question? :-/

14:16 samuelBartel i understand that "dockerctl backup" is used to backup fuel master node
14:17 samuelBartel I wayneeseguin s talking about the back of the openstack infra as described in backup and recovery process in openstack-ops guide

14:27 evg samuelBartel: there were blueprints, but it's not in fuel yet.
14:28 samuelBartel evg: thanks for the link i miss this one
14:28 samuelBartel evg: i was talking about this process http://docs.openstack.org/openstack-ops/content/backup_and_recovery.html

16:48 confusedmirantis Hey everyone!   Anyone having problems with the openstack install failing on some of the latest nightly builds?  I'm seeing errors complaining about ceilometer in the puppet.log

17:14 confusedmirantis I'm now trying the installation over without ceilometer ... not really using that initially anyway ... but it worked fine with ceilometer with 6.0 GA, so thought maybe others have seen this
17:15 confusedmirantis I've also been seeing troubles where the "verify networks" is not working (at least not for retries) .... that is pre-installation, I did see a bug about post installation
17:16 confusedmirantis I should probably say "pre-deployment" not "pre-installation"

18:09 championofcyrodi so the IP for my radosgw to public is pointing to what i think is my primary controller in an HA configuration...
18:10 championofcyrodi I'd like to switch my primary controller to be a different controller of the three that i have.
18:10 championofcyrodi is this possible?
18:11 championofcyrodi (Juno on Fuel 6.0)
18:12 championofcyrodi my users have saturated the 1Gbps Ethernet connection, so i want to try using the 10Gbps fiber NIC on a different controller as the radosgw
18:14 e0ne joined #fuel
18:37 championofcyrodi huh
18:37 championofcyrodi so my nailgun container is down, and so are it's dependent containers...
18:37 championofcyrodi but when i do 'dockerctl restart nailgun' it says: Could not get container for name 0d8eac1f5b2dfba960a1c0ded5d7b8c54fd25608bf2cf84618584adccba535a0 and id /fuel-core-6.0-nailgun/db
18:37 championofcyrodi 2015/04/02 13:37:45 Error: failed to restart one or more containers
18:38 championofcyrodi as if there is no image or something...?
18:38 dkusidlo joined #fuel
18:38 championofcyrodi just noticed it was down as of the 29th when i went to look at the controllers to find out the primary/active controller.
18:42 championofcyrodi can i just do dockerctl build? or do i need to try revert? or should i just restore from the back i have from about a week ago?
18:54 championofcyrodi hmmm
18:54 championofcyrodi "Driver": "devicemapper",
18:54 championofcyrodi "ExecDriver": "lxc-0.9.0",
18:54 championofcyrodi did you guys extend the devicemapper pool for docker? or will my container die at 10GB ?
18:56 championofcyrodi *fill up, rather.
18:58 championofcyrodi nginx says it's running but its not... seems like docker daemon is out of sync w/ what is really happening... trying a good ole' fashioned reboot.
19:02 rongze joined #fuel
19:05 championofcyrodi nope, reboot did not seem to fix the issue
19:10 championofcyrodi well, i'm running another backup now, in case i break things worse trying to get fuel back up
19:13 MiroslavAnashkin championofcyrodi: Looks like logs occupied all the free space in /var on the master node
19:14 championofcyrodi the master controller?
19:14 championofcyrodi in my HA Environment?
19:14 championofcyrodi the fuel server itself is reporting free space w/ df -h
19:16 MiroslavAnashkin To move primary controller (actually VIP) you may use `pcs resource move <resource name, for instance VIP> <new node name>`
19:17 MiroslavAnashkin Please do not rebuild Nailgun, Postgrea and Astute containers, these 3 are stateful.
19:17 championofcyrodi i was thinking that via 'docker inspect <id>'

19:43 championofcyrodi is it normal for the dockerctl backups to compress down to like, 1.5KB w/ tar.lrz ?
19:43 championofcyrodi seems small
19:46 mattgrif_ joined #fuel
19:47 MiroslavAnashkin Oh, lrzip not only compresses with lzma algorithm, it also performs deduplication before compression.
19:48 MiroslavAnashkin And it needs a lot of RAM

22:00 championofcyrodi MiroslavAnashkin: I'm not sure the information you linked me to is the issue.
22:00 championofcyrodi there is adequate free space on my fuel server
22:01 championofcyrodi fuel task output is just that nailgun server is down.
22:02 championofcyrodi dockerctl start nailgun says it is already running, and dockerctl restart nailgun says Could not get container for name 0d8eac1f5b2dfba960a1c0ded5d7b8c54fd25608bf2cf84618584adccba535a0 and id /fuel-core-6.0-nailgun/db

22:03 championofcyrodi it's like the docker daemon is not responding correctly, or the container is just missing
