00:16 jhova Anyone got a second to help me troubleshoot/think about what I'm trying to do in Fuel 6.1?
00:17 jhova I have a cloud build with Neutron VLAN. The ML2 plugin is configured for tenant VLANs of 1000-1100. I want to create a provider network on an existing infrastructure VLAN.  I am running the following commands:
00:17 jhova neutron net-create --tenant-id <id> --provider:physical_network=physnet2 --provider:network_type=vlan --provider:segmentation_id=2161 --router:external=True management_vlan
00:18 jhova neutron subnet-create management_vlan 172.29.67.128/25 --name management_vlan --gateway 172.29.67.129 --allocation-pool start=172.29.67.140,end=172.29.67.199 --dns-nameservers list=true 8.8.8.8 8.8.4.4
00:19 jhova When I try it with or without a gateway assigned to the subnet, I'm not able to reach the DHCP agent or the metadata services for this network.
00:21 jhova According to the openstack docs the provider network VID does not have to be defined in the ML2 range. I'm trying to use physnet2 that is created during Fuel configuration.

08:39 plicploc hi everybody
08:40 NERvOus hi
08:41 plicploc I am trying to get cinder-backup works in a HA multimode environment on ubuntu 12.04 deployed with fuel 6.0
08:41 plicploc I found the package on fuel master node repo
08:42 plicploc but when trying to launch it, it fails with the following in cinder logs : "err:  Error encountered during initialization of driver: LVMISCSIDriver"
08:42 plicploc Did someone already experienced that ? ot ended with installing cinder-backup from the fuel master node ?
08:50 HeOS joined #fuel
08:53 barthalion plicploc: I'm not 100% sure, but I remember something like ceph requirement for cinder-backup in 6.0
08:53 barthalion it should be mentioned in the docs…
08:56 plicploc I am trying to use swift as backend for cinder-backup, but  thx i will check about that

13:52 rbrooker Question: I just started a redeploy (ubuntu. it had worked previously - just needed to provision more swap on controller) but now it fails when trying to install pcs
13:53 rbrooker I tried to do it manually, I can't find it in the repos
13:53 stamak joined #fuel
13:53 mwhahaha what version
13:53 rbrooker 6.1
13:54 mwhahaha did you setup a local repo or are you using the upstream ones?
13:54 rbrooker both I enabled all repos
13:55 mwhahaha what is the exact error message?
13:56 rbrooker (/Stage[main]/Corosync/Package[pcs]/ensure) E: Unable to locate package pcs
13:56 mwhahaha hmm ok
13:56 rbrooker I thought Ubuntu had a different name for pcs
13:57 mwhahaha community or mirantis version of fuel?
13:57 mwhahaha because it appears to be a MOS package
13:57 rbrooker Mirantis
13:59 mwhahaha I would create a bug and someone should be able to track that down i wonder if something happened to the repositories
13:59 mwhahaha seems odd
14:00 rbrooker ok, I just wanted to eliminate me from the issue :)

14:04 rbrooker what are you guys using for bug tracking?  launchpad? github?
14:04 mwhahaha launchpad, hold on i'll get the  directions for you

14:05 rbrooker mwhahaha thank you
14:19 NERvOus rbrooker: for a moment I asked myself what's so funny about launchpad :)))
14:22 rbrooker I think I found my problem.. it was me all along. (need more coffee) the primary repo wasn't enabled -- only security/update/holdback
14:22 mwhahaha oh that'd be a problem
14:23 rbrooker and now its working. thank you though.

19:17 osryan_ I cannot get network connectivity out of any interface except the admin (PXE) network connected interface. Anyone have that problem? I've been trying to deploy a controller and tried a multiple nodes, both virtual and physical

20:41 Verilium Hi there.  After an initial installation of Fuel 6.1 via the ISO, I'm able to connect to the server in question by SSH, but I don't seem to have anything listening on port 8000?  What's supposed to launch on that port?
20:41 mwhahaha check the console it may be waiting for input
20:42 Verilium Doesn't seem to be anything.  I mean, it's at the usual login screen.
20:42 Verilium After the installation, all I did was issue a reboot from shell.
20:43 mwhahaha it may take 10+ minutes for everything to come up after reboot
20:43 mwhahaha you should be able to ssh though, unless you're being restricted via iptables
20:43 Verilium Hmm, I'm not seeing any process actually doing anything though. :P
20:44 Verilium Oh yeah, I can ssh to the machine just fine, that part works.
20:44 mwhahaha dockerctl check
20:44 Verilium There's just nothing running that's listening on port 8000, or any iptables rule.
20:44 mwhahaha will tell you if everything is up and ok
20:44 Verilium (I don't know what's listening on port 8000 normally?)
20:44 Verilium Hmm, I saw docker got installed, guess it runs a container.  I see.
20:45 Verilium Hmm, uhhh...  "Error: No such image or container: postgres"
20:45 Verilium Ok, not good. :)
20:46 Verilium Hmm, maybe I mucked up the initial installation, or something...  Rebooted too quickly thinking it was already finished, ugh.
20:47 mwhahaha dockerctl destroy all
20:47 mwhahaha dockerctl build all
20:47 mwhahaha *should* rebuild it
20:49 Verilium Hrm, seems it might defnitely be my bad.  DNS is missing, no wonder.  It never was able to download the containers.  Could swear I had put something in there...
20:53 julien_ZTE joined #fuel
20:55 mwhahaha wonder if there is a bug there, this isn't the first time someone has mentioned something like this
20:56 Verilium It really very possibly could just have been me foegetting a config. :P  Retrying installation from scratch now.
20:56 Verilium urgh, typos.

21:36 ntpttr Does anyone here know about configuring the virtualbox nodes that are behind a proxy? My nodes can't connect to the outside world so they fail the network verification
21:38 mwhahaha ntpttr: you should be able to setup a local repo to get around that
21:39 ntpttr is there documentation anywhere for doing that? I've been following this guide https://docs.mirantis.com/openstack/fuel/fuel-6.1/virtualbox.html
