02:45 Samos123 martineg_: xarses_ just saw your messages on Ansible and fuel plugins. How to pass the parameters to my ansible playbook though. using shell scripts they will be available in the shell script, guess i will have to pass them through the ansible-playbook command via shell
02:47 xarses Samos123: correct, its supposedly also possible to load in the yaml we use via one of the backends it supports, but I don't know how exactly thats done

11:23 ken316 Hello, if I were to want to automate/CM the rebuild of the fuel master, could I: 1.  Archive off /etc/fuel/astute.yaml; 2. virt-install a fresh ISO install of fuel,; 3. Cfg eth0 and "apply"; 4. Exit to Shell; 5. wget /etc/fuel/astute.yaml && exit; 6. Quit Setup Without Saving
11:24 ken316 Would it pick up the contents of /etc/fuel/astute.yaml and "do the right thing", meaning install using the archived values?

13:56 bildz morning
13:58 bildz is anyone around this morning to help me with a deployment issue?
13:59 deckardkain bildz: if it's not terribly bad i can try and help. I'm sort of new to it all but had my share of deployment issuess.

14:42 Trisell I am setting up a high avaliablity OS deployment, and I get the following error on 2 of the Ceph nodes.
14:42 Trisell [502] Error running RPC method granular_deploy: Deployment failed on nodes 10, 15, trace:  ["/usr/lib64/ruby/gems/2.1.0/gems/astute-6.1.0/lib/astute/deployment_engine.rb:68:in `block (3 levels) in deploy'",
14:42 Trisell Any ideas?
14:42 bildz my issue is around deploying centos, from within fuel to my compute nodes.  They are all of the same hardware specs and here's what i've found in the remote logs for the fuel agent:  http://pastebin.com/pr133QwQ

15:33 bildz xarses: are you around this morning?
15:45 dr hi *. I'm totally new to FUEL etc. is it correct, that FUEL has no provisions at all for static routes on nodes?
15:45 dr this makes proper separation of different traffic flows on different NICs with routes connectivity impossible
15:45 dr (without manually hacking routes into nodes after installation)
15:56 jaypipes joined #fuel
15:56 dr ideally, I would like to separate A) OpenStack control plane and frontend traffic, B) VM-to-storage, C) overlay-network (vrouter to vrouter tunnels) and D) "internet connectivity" (floating IPs) on different "physical" NICs - without the requirement for everthing to be "directly connected"
15:57 dr C+D might go via same NIC
15:57 dr at the moment, it looks like horizon+floating-IPs always have to be in same subnet/VLAN and share the default route point out this NIC
15:58 dr also, A(control)+B+C seem to be always shared, which sucks hard too.

20:42 RedShift joined #fuel
20:42 xarses_ Rodrigo_BR: it's been a while since I played with any of that. If you are using keystone for auth, then you have to specify the credentials in a specific way, otherwise you have to create the credentials yourself in radosgw (if you want them to follow the S3 conventions) and then you should be able to use the API with a S3 client
20:50 deckardkain What would cause the haproxy vip to be not available?
20:52 deckardkain i can't seem to find the node that has the HAproxy vip for horizon. It's causing an error on deployment.
20:58 bildz xarses: we ran into an issue.  ks_spaces_validator.py    had to change if volume['size'] > 16777216 and volume.get('mount','') == '/':
20:58 bildz to get the installer to run
20:58 bildz we'll file a bug

21:29 deckardkain n/m you learn something new every day. i was just using ip addr sh from the command line. I should be using ip netns exec haproxy ip addr sh
