11:14 JS__ Anybody out there?
11:15 JS__ I've installed my OS deplayment ans I have trouble with my public network.
11:20 JS__ when I send an ARP request to resolve the MAC of the gateway the request passes br-floating, br-ex, eth1
11:20 JS__ the response passes eth1 and br-ex, but not br-floating.
11:22 JS__ It seems that the response does not get from the linux bridge br-ex to the openvswitch br-floating.

13:58 ericjwolf Greetings
13:59 ericjwolf Anybody here know anythign about the zabbix pluggin for 6.1?
13:59 ericjwolf I am having an issue with an install and getting a puppet error trying to deploy this module.
14:05 geekinutah joined #fuel
14:09 julien_ZTE joined #fuel
14:09 mwhahaha what's the error?
14:10 ericjwolf http://paste.openstack.org/show/427083/
14:10 ericjwolf Is this proper?
14:10 ericjwolf place to paste large logs?
14:12 mwhahaha go check the puppet log for node 12
14:12 mwhahaha or whatever uid 12 translates to
14:12 ericjwolf I just put more logs there. from the beginning of that module.
14:14 ericjwolf There are no log in /var/log/puppet for that time.
14:14 mwhahaha they'll be on the master
14:14 mwhahaha in /var/log/docker-logs/remote/node-#*/puppet.log
14:14 ericjwolf the fuel master?
14:14 mwhahaha yea
14:14 ericjwolf let me go check
14:17 ericjwolf 2015-08-25T02:06:41.252954+00:00 err:  (/Stage[main]/Plugin_zabbix::Controller/Package[zabbix-server-mysql]/ensure) Building dependency tree... 2015-08-25T02:06:41.252954+00:00 err:  (/Stage[main]/Plugin_zabbix::Controller/Package[zabbix-server-mysql]/ensure) Reading state information... 2015-08-25T02:06:41.252954+00:00 err:  (/Stage[main]/Plugin_zabbix::Controller/Package[zabbix-server-mysql]/ensure) Some packages could
14:17 ericjwolf will update the paste one min.
14:19 ericjwolf There are a bunch of dependency failures for this module.
14:19 ericjwolf is there a place I can put the log file?
14:25 Miouge joined #fuel
14:30 ericjwolf [root@srvr417 node-12.hitachi-cta.com]# fuel plugins list DEPRECATION WARNING: /etc/fuel/client/config.yaml exists and will be used as the source for settings. This behavior is deprecated. Please specify the path to your custom settings file in the FUELCLIENT_CUSTOM_SETTINGS environment variable. id | name              | version | package_version ---|-------------------|---------|---------------- 1  | zabbix_monitoring | 1.0.0   | 2.
14:30 ericjwolf I pulled this package from the Fuel pluggin website.

14:35 mwhahaha In the puppet logs you need to look for 'err:'
14:35 mwhahaha or Error
14:36 mwhahaha That package error looks like it's the problem but would need the whole thing to say for certain
14:36 mwhahaha You could also manually try executing the puppet task on that node to see what the error is
14:38 mwhahaha cd /etc/fuel/plugins/zabbix_monitoring-1.0/ ; puppet apply --modulepath=puppet/modules:/etc/puppet/modules puppet/manifests/primary_controller.pp
14:44 ericjwolf So it's failing due to dependencies on packages needed for the zabbix-seerver-mysql package
14:45 mwhahaha which one?
14:45 ericjwolf root@node-12:/etc/fuel/plugins/zabbix_monitoring-1.0# puppet apply --modulepath=puppet/modules:/etc/puppet/modules puppet/manifests/primary_controller.pp Warning: You cannot collect exported resources without storeconfigs being set; the collection will be ignored on line 92 in file /etc/puppet/modules/haproxy/manifests/listen.pp Warning: Not collecting exported resources without storeconfigs Warning: Not collecting exported resources
14:46 ericjwolf Output pasted here: http://paste.openstack.org/show/427108/
14:46 ericjwolf My understanding was that when a plugin was approved that all required packages are together.
14:47 mwhahaha that paste doesn't have the puppet error
14:48 mwhahaha for some reason I also thing you're using the older version of the plugin
14:49 mwhahaha nope that's the right plugin
14:49 mwhahaha i need to know what dependency it's failing on
14:49 ericjwolf Try this paste:http://paste.openstack.org/show/427125/
14:50 ericjwolf I noticed there is a newer plugin 2.0.0 but it says for Openstack >=7.0  Not sure if that means Fuel 7.0?
14:50 ericjwolf I will assume yes.
14:50 mwhahaha yea it means 7.0
14:50 ericjwolf Also I am using a Ubuntu OS.
14:51 ericjwolf not sure if that matters with these plugins.
14:51 ericjwolf I did nto see any notes about that.
14:51 mwhahaha shouldn't matter
14:52 mwhahaha looks like you've hit https://bugs.launchpad.net/fuel/+bug/1483983
14:54 mwhahaha are you using a local mirror?
14:54 angdraug joined #fuel
14:57 ericjwolf yeap.  I am using local mirror.
14:57 ericjwolf Fun, fun joy
14:57 ericjwolf I was reading the bug report and it is unclear if all that work around actually resolves the issue.
14:58 ericjwolf it looks like it is fixed in fuel 7.0
15:00 mwhahaha the workaround would
15:00 mwhahaha you need to pull down that package
15:00 mwhahaha so if you do the adjustments to the requirements-deb.txt and rerun the mirror it should work
15:02 ericjwolf trying now.
15:02 ericjwolf thanks again.
15:08 JS__ Once again. Has anyone an idea why ARP responses from my default gateway to my public IP do not pass br-ex/br-floating?
15:16 mwhahaha is it getting blocked via iptables or a kernel setting?
15:21 rmoe joined #fuel
15:21 JS__ not as far as I see.
15:22 JS__ other ARP responses from the same broadcast domain are passing the bride to the namespace haproxy
15:22 JS__ only the def gw .1 does not
15:24 JS__ and I just installed fuel 6.1 without any modifications after initial setup

20:23 xarses JS__: is the instance assigned a floating IP and the net04 network or did you assign the instance on net04_ext instance?
20:24 xarses or is this related to the public vip?
20:41 ericjwolf <mwhahaha> looks like you've hit https://bugs.launchpad.net/fuel/+bug/1483983 - Looks like I ran into the second part of the issue.  Even though I changed the repo settings, looks like something else is not getting setup properly.  I have disabled this piece for now but if you happen to have any additional information on how to make it work, I would appreciate it.
20:41 ericjwolf Thanks
