05:37 xarses Sesso: we don't have a service list like that in the fuel master
05:37 xarses the closest might be `fuel nodes`
05:42 Sesso thanks, yeah I saw that one.

10:19 hyperbaba Hi there, does anybody  tried to change the mtu of the deployed infrastructure from 1500 to jumbo frames (for example 9000) when gre neutron is in use?
10:22 hyperbaba forgot to mention. Deployed system is 5.1.1
10:26 [HeOS] joined #fuel
10:27 cartik hi, I tried updating the vrouter ip before deployment by downloading it using fuel --env 21 network --download
10:27 cartik and modified the yaml file
10:27 cartik and did a fuel --env 21 network upload
10:27 cartik and to verify i downloaded it again but the changes are not modified
10:35 Sesso hyperbaba: I thought about it and chickened out. I was only going to use jumbo for storage VLAN
10:36 hyperbaba Sesso: Me too , there is also a need for bigger mtu for the networks driving the instances because if 1500 is used on instances , packet fragmentation is eminent on the gre tunnels
10:37 Sesso yeap
10:37 hyperbaba thus rising the context switches on both compute and controller nodes
10:37 Sesso Should be just changing MTU on interfaces
10:38 hyperbaba Sesso: for the nodes yes.. but for the gre tunnels?
10:38 Sesso I know on VLANs, you have to enable jumbo on but not sure about GRE
10:39 Sesso http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/cisco/nsp/72507
10:39 Sesso looks like you set it on the tunnel

13:39 JoeStack I have a flapping node within my deployment. How does fuel take notice about a "gone away" node? Which process is responsible for that?
13:56 Damjanek JoeStack: There's nailgun-agent being run from cron.
13:56 Damjanek JoeStack: Which basicaly does heartbeat.
13:57 Damjanek nailgun-agent is ran every minute. So after couple (I'm not sure of the exact number) missing heartbeats, it just marks node as „gone away”.

21:51 Verilium Curiously, by any chance, has anyone tried deploying a node with 7.0 on an HP DL360 G7?  And, say, have gotten kernel panics, but only from time to time?

22:38 Sesso No, I use supermicro and Dell
22:41 Verilium ...and on another note, anyone notice that if an environment is reset, that the disk configs for space usage and such also seem to go back to default?
22:43 Sesso Yes.
22:43 Sesso Port configuration doesnt change.
