04:54 Verilium Has anyone had issues where nodes seem to be uncorrectly deployed, following the bootstrap, and when it tries to boot from the node, there's a "Boot sector signature not found (unbootable disk/partition?)".
04:55 Verilium Of course, this fails the deployment, since there's a node that doesn't complete.  I've tried a few deploys and I'm getting this on different nodes.  Always seems to be 1 out of 7 nodes thats failing like this, and, not all the time neither.
04:56 Sesso yup
04:56 Sesso thats when the node deployment fails. I always have to start over and redeploy after doing an environment reset.
05:00 Verilium Hmm..  https://bugs.launchpad.net/fuel/+bug/1420256
05:00 Verilium Wonder if my issue is that, seems related.
05:00 Verilium Sesso:  Yeah.
05:00 Verilium So, keep deploying and hoping it works out? :P
05:01 Verilium I've deployed successfully before.  Although this time, I'm trying with a ubuntu bootstrap instead of centos.
05:01 Sesso not sure. I only had this problem with 7.0
05:01 Sesso ahhhh
05:01 Sesso yes, its probably ubuntu then. 7. only has ubuntu
05:02 Verilium Guess it's experimental for reasons like this.
05:04 rmoe joined #fuel
05:05 Sesso yeah
05:07 Verilium But, it seems to be the only way I can get fuel to see that my nodes have 10gbe nics in them, since the ubuntu bootstrap has the drivers for it, the centos doesn't.
05:11 Sesso oh really. :( install 7.0 instead?
05:11 Verilium One thing's for sure, I'll keep all my consoles open to know when it fails immediately, instead of waiting for fuel to timeout/die on the deployment, which takes a little bit. :P
05:11 Verilium I'm already on 7.0 actually.

05:46 Verilium Ah great, again.  There's always 1 node that fails with this error, ugh. :(
05:46 Sesso what if you reboot that one node? same thing?

06:25 Verilium Yeah.  It gets it's boot info from pxe, which tells it to boot locally, which fails.
06:25 Verilium As if the boot partition wasn't correctly put in place or something.
06:26 rmoe joined #fuel
06:27 Sesso I dont have anythng 10GBe to test. I should upgrade
06:29 Verilium I guess it's my bad for picking a "recent" card, Intel X710, instead of something a bit 'older'...  Or not researching enough to see if it was supported.
06:30 Sesso ah so its just the model of your card?
06:30 Verilium Yeah, it's specific to this card.  The CentOS 6.x bootstrap image doesn't have the drivers for it.
06:30 rmoe joined #fuel
06:31 HeOS joined #fuel
06:31 Verilium Well, granted, I don't have any other 10gbe cards to test it out with neither, so I can't say for sure...
06:36 Sesso 10GBe wont help me unless I upgrade the midplane on my blade chassis to handle 10GBe
06:36 rmoe joined #fuel
06:36 Verilium The release notes for 7.0 mention Intel X710 being now supported.  https://docs.mirantis.com/openstack/fuel/fuel-7.0/release-notes.html
06:37 Verilium But...  Yeah, I mean, once the nodes are booted, it'll show up, since ubuntu supports it, but if the centos bootstrap image doesn't support it, I can't configure the interfaces.
06:37 Sesso lol 500 a card
06:39 Verilium Yeah.
06:41 rmoe joined #fuel
06:43 Verilium Oh well, last try, 243am.  If this doesn't work, I'll switch back to the CentOS bootstrap and at least be able to deploy, even if without the 10gbe interfaces.
06:48 Sesso yeah. maybe you can change it later.
06:51 Verilium Same thing again.  Always just 1 node too, out of 7.  Weird.

13:48 obcecado my connection does not have any issues
13:48 obcecado is there any problem ocurring in fuel infrastructure?
13:55 mwhahaha not that i'm aware of

14:03 mwhahaha not sure, was the fuel-package-updates updated?
14:07 obcecado this is a clean install from the iso
14:07 obcecado so i assume so
14:08 mwhahaha i wonder if the fuel-package-updates package was missed for 7.0 so it still looks for 6
14:20 obcecado shi- i should get some sleep

14:40 Verilium mwhahaha:  Actually, I'm not sure, if I find a bug that's related, but has already been changed to 'fix committed', should I comment in it, or open a new one?
14:40 mwhahaha open a new one, if someone wants to they'll mark it as a dupe
14:42 Verilium Ahhh, true, thanks.
14:43 Verilium Hmm, I'll test it out in my 2nd environment, with all VMs to see if I can reproduce it...
