08:18 anddrew21 Hello! What do you think about DVR and l3 VRRP? Witch is more stable for a production purpose. I've tested with l3, with 3 controllers, and it takes some time dor the backup router to take the primary role, up to 20 minutes.
08:20 anddrew21 And also, if the number of VMs will be 50-100, i wonder how the load will be on the controllers. :-?

14:57 alevy_ Good morning all.   Can someone tell me how to specify eth1 as the nic to use for fuel8 after the server has been built.   I can start fuelmenu but after saving, the fuel interface never starts

15:39 Wida Hi! I try 'ironic node-create' and I have error: 'No valid host was found. Reason: No conductor service registered which supports driver fuel_ipmitool. (HTTP 400)'
15:39 Wida and
15:39 Wida 'ironic driver-list' is empty
15:41 Wida how I can add 'fuel_ipmitool' driver?

16:06 ericjwolf Good morning (or afternoon).
16:06 ericjwolf I hope all is well today.
16:07 andreww Wida: you may want to check that that the ironic host installed w/o errors
16:08 xarses otherwise we will need to get the attention of one of the dev's for that feature
16:08 ericjwolf I am building a small test bed for fuel 8.0 and I am using 3 new (to me) machines.  Theya re Oracle X3-2 servers with the E5-2640 processors.  When I bootstrap load the servers using the Centos bootstrap image the machines will boot up and connect to the Fuel Master.  I am building a Ubuntu Liberty system. When I deploy the env the Ubuntu image is created but the machines go into a constant reboot loop.
16:09 xarses ericjwolf: not using the ubuntu bootstrap image?
16:10 ericjwolf I also see this when I use the Ubuntu_bootstrap image, the machines (3 of them) go into a constant reboot loop.  I see some trracebacks with CPU soft lockup.
16:10 Wida xarses, I checked fuel logs in ironic nodes and I did not find not a single error
16:10 ericjwolf I am testing a couple things right now.
16:11 xarses ericjwolf: the main difference between the two is the kernel version
16:11 ericjwolf I did see a few google searches that first pointed at apower supply issue but that is not the case here ( all 3 servers see it).  Then there was another post about some bugs in Ubunty kernels but I cannot find that bug report again.
16:12 xarses so it's likely an issue there. Often some hardware needs some kernel flags to disable things
16:12 xarses if you are watching the kernel, do you see messages about softlockups and then a watchdog is kicking the system?
16:12 ericjwolf I am booting the machines in my fuel 6.1 envionment to see if they will boot up to see if this bug existed there.
16:13 ericjwolf yes that seems to be the case.
16:13 ericjwolf It scrolls so fast it is hard to read everythign but I got a video capture and I can see some stuff.
16:15 ericjwolf Is it possible to see the kernel flags that are set on the image that fuel creates?
16:16 xarses ericjwolf: the kernel opts for the provisioned instance are on the settings page, since we moved to dynamic image I'm not sure if it's also used for it
16:17 xarses there is also a list of packages somewhere ( I don't remember where in 8) that are used to construct the image
16:21 ericjwolf I found some of that.  Waht to compare the kernel options between the centos image and the ubuntu image to see what might be the issue.

16:46 xarses ericjwolf: its unlikely to be the options alone at that rate, the centos kernel and ubuntu kernel aren't the same version
16:47 xarses 3.10.0-327.10.1.el7.x86_64
16:48 xarses vs 3.13.0-83-generic

20:54 ericjwolf so it sounds like there was an update.
