03:30 JohnsonYi_ Hi folks, anyone knows how to cancel single node deployment in fuel 8.0 environment?
03:32 JohnsonYi_ new node deployment may stuck sometimes, but it seems that fuel web UI do not support cancel node deployment for specific node.
03:35 JohnsonYi_ I raised a question here -> https://answers.launchpad.net/fuel/+question/289971

10:00 kozhukalov JohnsonYi_ no, in 8.0 it is not possible, you can only cancel deployment of the whole cluster. in 9.0 it will be possible to stop deployment for a single node (deployment worker will be stopped), but to make sure the whole cluster is consistent we probably need to re-evaluate the deployment graph

15:06 CarlosNovo Hi all !! I am trying to install some plugins on fuel 8.0.0. The installation is successful and the plugins are listed on fuel GUI in plugins tab, but their options are not exposed in the settings tab when I create a new deployment. I've tried with lma_infrastructure_alerting-0.8-0.8.0-1.noarch.rpm, fwaas-plugin-1.1-1.1.0-1.noarch.rpm and one in the old format: lbaas-1.0.0.fp. The behaviour is the same: Plugins listed in "installed plugins" but the GU
15:06 CarlosNovo I is not showing any thing. Any idea ? Thanx in advance !
15:09 mwhahaha CarlosNovo: they may not be compatible with 8.0
15:10 blahRus joined #fuel
15:18 CarlosNovo Hi @mwhahaha, I thought of that and I have double checked to download the MOS 8.0 plugin. All of them install succesfully and the behaviour is the same
15:19 mwhahaha can you provide the output of 'fuel plugins' via paste.openstack.org?
15:19 pasquier-s CarlosNovo mwhahaha is right, the 0.8 plugins aren't compatible with MOS 8
15:20 CarlosNovo http://paste.openstack.org/show/493181/
15:21 CarlosNovo those are the ones I have now
15:21 pasquier-s IIRC you should go to the plugins page in the Fuel UI and it will tell you for every plugin the supported MOS releases
15:23 CarlosNovo For example, the "Pure Storage Fuel Plugin" is listed as MOS 8.0 compatible. That's one of the plugins I have installed

15:30 mwhahaha pure storage cinder is for 9.0
15:30 mwhahaha oh no that's 3.0.0
15:31 mwhahaha i thought lbaas isn't supported since 6.1
15:33 magicboiz joined #fuel
15:33 CarlosNovo ok ... so two things then ... first of all, I think that the installation of a not supported plugin should fail ... secondly, could any one lead me to a plugin ( any ) which you know is working on MOS 8.0 ? tnx !
15:37 mwhahaha the cinder one you have installed should work on 8.0
15:40 CarlosNovo I think so, but even though the plugin is installed and listed, nothing is showed on settings or roles tabs :-(
15:47 javeriak joined #fuel
15:47 mwhahaha do you have an 'Other' section in your settings page?
15:47 mwhahaha roles won't show unless the plugin is enabled
15:47 mwhahaha which i don't believe it's enabled by default
15:51 CarlosNovo got it !! After reloading the page, the Cinder plugin has appeared in "Settings->Storage" section !!
15:51 CarlosNovo thanks folks !
15:51 CarlosNovo Any way I still think that the installer should fail with not compatible plugins :-/

16:07 reddy hi .. i see zabbix plugin is supported for 8.0 ( https://github.com/openstack/fuel-plugin-external-zabbix/ )
16:07 reddy but in https://www.mirantis.com/validated-solution-integrations/fuel-plugins/ page i cant see that
16:08 reddy can some one help me how i can build rpm file from github code ?
16:08 pasquier-s reddy: that's because the plugin isn't officially released yet
16:09 reddy pasquier-s : thank you for quick answer. when can we expect it ?
16:09 pasquier-s I don't have the information unfortunately

16:39 AndyB Hi folks... Can someone answer a totally newbie question for me?   I've just completed an install of Fuel 6.1 with the Contrail plugin.  Everything was working.   I rebooted my OpenStack controllers (slight setting change) and now the VIp for the OpenStack GUI and contrail GUI is no longer working...
16:40 AndyB I'm uncertain where this is started / kept and how to get it working agian./
16:43 mwhahaha AndyB: check the pacemaker status
16:44 mwhahaha also check that it can reach your public gateway, there's a health check that will disable the public vip if the public gateway is unreachable
16:45 AndyB Both check out.   pacemakerd is running and gateway is pingable.
16:45 AndyB I have a 3-controller build and I can get to the GUI of all three for Openstack..., but not the VIP version of the GUI.
16:46 AndyB Contrail servers don't have a connection to the public network, so I can't get to that GUI at all without a VIP working.
16:47 mwhahaha run "pcs status"
16:47 mwhahaha is everything running?
16:49 AndyB Oh... lots of information there.   Bottom parts look bad.   failed actions "p_neutron-l3-agent_monitor_20000 on node-1.openstack.etlab.com 'not running" for all three controllers.   PCSD Status for all three are offline.
16:49 AndyB I'll admit I'm over my head on what this means though.
16:57 mwhahaha i don't have any experiance with the contrail plugin so i'm not sure
16:57 mwhahaha may want to check the neutron agents logs to see why they aren't running
16:57 mwhahaha if you provide the output via paste.openstack.org i can see if I notice anything specific
16:58 mwhahaha the output of pcs status that is
16:59 AndyB Okay.   Thank you very much for your help.
17:00 AndyB http://paste.openstack.org/show/493204/
17:03 mwhahaha haproxy is down on node -3 and so is rabbit
17:03 mwhahaha might want to check into that
17:03 mwhahaha the public vip should be on node-1
17:04 mwhahaha so you can get into the haproxy network namespace to do some trouble shooting -> ip netns exec haproxy bash
17:07 AndyB Okay.  so this seems to be back.
17:07 AndyB After you pointed me to pacemaker, I did go through all of the controllers and restarted it.
17:08 angdraug joined #fuel
17:10 mwhahaha so you're good now?
17:10 AndyB I think... doing some checking.
17:10 mwhahaha it's probably best to do a rolling restart and wait for all the services to come back if you need to reboot them all
17:10 AndyB There's SOOO much to this that I don't get.   ;)
17:11 mwhahaha you should be less likely to have a complete down event if you do the rolling restart
