02:42 shewless_ Hello. I'm having trouble connecting to the console on an open stack instance in my new openstack provisioned with fuel 9.0. Failed to connect to server (code: 1006). Can anyone assist?
02:43 shewless_ I can see the vnc_proxy is set to the "management" netwowrk on the controller node - but the management network is private isolated from my public network
02:43 shewless_ is that expected?

16:44 noshankus Hi guys, I've been trying to install fuel-community-9.0 on a HP G6 blade and during the installation I get the error in the kickstart %%post script(s): "Error code 127 running the kickstart script at line 1" - Any ideas?
16:45 noshankus I couldn't find much on Google regarding the specific error - could it be that I need to define some extra parameters at the boot options?

17:01 kozhukalov reddydodda: could you please expose the content of /etc/ntp.conf file on one of your cluster nodes?
17:05 javeriak hey folks, i keep getting 'WARN: Failed to set repositories as defaults for new environments' for the fuel-createmirror command. debug mode is on and there is no other error
17:06 kozhukalov noshankus: do you use dvd? does md5 sum of the dvd match the md5 of iso image that you downloaded via torrent?
17:09 kozhukalov javeriak: that means that when you create new env you then should set local repos manually via env settings tab. which version of fuel do you use?
17:09 javeriak kozhukalov version is mos7; i have a new env not yet deployed and im using the createmirror script
17:09 kozhukalov javeriak: does fuel client work well?
17:10 javeriak kozhukalov sorry i dont understand your question?
17:11 reddydodda kozhukalov: hi here is the ntp config file http://paste.openstack.org/show/496373/
17:11 kozhukalov fuel-createmirror does two things 1) creates local partial mirror 2) updates so called release in the fuel database (to use local mirror by default for new envs)
17:12 kozhukalov if it fails to update release info in the database it does not prevent you from setting this repo manullay
17:12 javeriak kozhukalov yes i can see the local mirror in the browser when i point to the fuel master ip
17:13 javeriak kozhukalov oh you mean, set the URI for the local repo manually from the settings tab? that is only after it has been created properly through the script though i assume?
17:13 noshankus kozhukalov - I had to download iso via web as per here: https://openstack.nimeyo.com/81974/openstack-dev-fuel-fuel-9-0-is-released as torrents are not allowed from inside company
17:14 noshankus I have downloaded via torrent outside separately, and md5sums do not seem to match...
17:14 noshankus I guess I'll wait to bring in the version downloaded via torrents and try that instead

17:15 noshankus kozhukalov - thanks for the hint! :)
17:18 rongze joined #fuel
17:22 kozhukalov noshankus please be aware that when you try to check md5 sum of dvd content you should use something like this http://wiki.networksecuritytoolkit.org/nstwiki/index.php/DVD_md5sum

17:25 javeriak kozhukalov, what i dont understand is that, I see the updated links in the env settings tab for the local repo now, but why does the script still throw that warning?
17:27 kozhukalov javeriak: that is strange, probably fuel command returned non zero code and that could be the reason
17:28 javeriak kozhukalov is there any further logs that could provide more info?
17:29 javeriak kozhukalov also if i had a custom repo, hosting my own custom packages and I added it to the env settings-repo page; i was wondering is that was causing these warnings. also why don't those packages also get downloaded and saved to the fuel master?
17:29 kozhukalov /var/log/nailgun/app.log there should be info about changing release
17:31 kozhukalov if you put custom packages into repo that is unlikely could be a reason for fuel-mirror not being able to update releases
17:32 javeriak odd.. i don't have a nailgun directory under logs
17:33 kozhukalov fuel-createmirror downloads only those packages (and their dependencies ) that are listed here https://github.com/openstack/fuel-mirror/blob/7.0/config/requirements-deb.txt
17:34 kozhukalov javeriak: /var/log/docker-logs/nailgun/app.log that should be a correct path
17:34 javeriak kozhukalov if i added my packages to that list would it download them too?
17:35 kozhukalov yes, it should
17:36 javeriak even from the custom repo?
17:36 kozhukalov no, from upstream
17:36 javeriak okay i dont know what im looking for in that log, as there are no release related errors
17:37 kozhukalov https://github.com/openstack/fuel-mirror/blob/7.0/config/common.cfg#L16
17:37 javeriak okay so there is no way, fuel will download and mirror another custom repo, even one that is accessible to the fuel master node
17:38 kozhukalov in 7.0 fuel-createmirror script is very fragile (many things could go wrong if you try to customize it)
17:39 javeriak okay thanks a lot kozhukalov
17:39 kozhukalov if you are familiar with tools like debmirror, then try to use them instead
17:39 javeriak if i could get to the bottom of that warning, it would be great
17:40 javeriak as there doesnt seem to be anything wrong otherwise
